On a very cold night in December, we walked into this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and they welcomed us in. They spoke great English and even cracked couple of good jokes!
The food was well beyond our expectations!
We were walking in the moutains during the day, so were quite hungry that evening. We had a soup, then we shared the local speciality Pirohy with bryndza ( the sheep cheese). My husband than had lamb for the main and I went for the duck breast. We both cleared our plates, the food was delicious!
The wine on the menu was very nice and they made an effort and served it into nice glasses.
we loved the food, the chilled atmosphere and the waiters!
Definitely recommend!

We had a rather long drive from Krakow to Budapest & Koliba Likava turned out to be just the break we needed. Very inviting setting with traditional wood furniture, surrounded by greenery (there's also a little play area outside for children). Service is prompt & friendly & very efficient! The pirogi was excellent, served a little differently from the way its served in Poland; we also tried the pork schnitzel which was tasty.
Good food in a relaxed atmosphere; good selection of teas too!

At least 10 years not improvement . They serve typical Slovak meals with improper ingredients, sheep cheese is very mixed with cow cheese, using meat beacon on scheep cheese dumpling (it changes very the original taste of standard) unacceptable !!! They use many year same lies, that tomorrow the service to use credit card payment will be ok. Crazy funny. No recommend this restaurant

This restaurant is in very nice surrounding.You can stroll around restaurant and see animals like rabbit,pig,goat,cows and in smal pond trouts even little playground is there
kids shouldn't be bored.Restaurant is typical shepard's hut style.It's look very nice inside and outside.Service was polite and pretty quick.Meal was neither bad nor good.For three meals and three drinks 19 euros not so bad.

Restaurant has an excellent location and an average capacity - enough for standard tourists groups. It offers excellent beer and standard selection of local and Slovak foods. I have a feeling that foods quality did not improve but rather became bit worse than we were used to in past.

Really nice food and traditional atmosphere. Highly recommended for the quality of food and the feeling at this restaurant. Unfortunately they seemed short-staffed at our visit, and consequently we waited a long time for our dessert. The waitresses were almost running back and forth between tables and the kitchen working non-stop, hopefully that was a one off incident and not a regular occurrence.
The restaurant uses traditional hand-made ceramic crockery, which we actually liked so much we wanted to buy some, however the staff did not know where the plates were made so that wasn't possible.
Worth a visit!

Restaurant is situated into nice historical building.
There is possible to eat very good slovakian meals. We tryed slovakian and standard meals. Everything was fine.
Interesting thing: they have super coffee (speciality: they know what is ristretto)
It is one of the best restaurant far and wide, but it is still not enough for 5stars.

This is a perfect starting point for a hike to the Choc mountain. A basic but nice hotel in beautiful surroundings, with a good traditional Slowak kitchen. Moreover, the history of this place makes staying here to an exciting experience.

The tour guide from Orava Casle recommended this restaurant - we made a big mistake by believing him. We ordered pork knuckle (nearly 10 EUR) and potato pancakes with pork goulash (nearly 6 EUR). The food arrived after 10 minutes after the order - this was suspicious. The pork knuckle was ok - meat was well cooked, not spectacular but the horseradish helped to boost its taste. The additional bread however was not fresh - although it was the middle of the week. The pancakes however were a disaster! Not much potatos in them, instead lots of flour - they tasted like rubber, they were not crispy at all and it was very hard to cut them. The goulash wasn't much better - the meat was hard and the sauce tasteless and artificial. Definitely avoid this place!

We went here for lunch. Tomato and chicken soups where great. Huge varaiety of pizzas. Staff is very friendly and speaks good English. Highly recommended for all the family!!!
