My Daughter took me to this beautiful, quaint, restaurant and was I pleasantly surprised! The first thing you notice is the clean, homey, feeling with aromas that will make you smile from ear to ear. They bake all their breads, cookies, cakes, candy, lefse, etc, and they look as professional as anywhere I have seen in the country. They taste delicious, as well. I bought my Daughter a baker's dozen of beautifully, hand-decorated, gingerbread cookies because she is due with her second child any day and will not have time to bake. See the attached photo I took today. I am having Liz, the owner, bake two dozen or more, sugar cookies and will have them delivered for Christmas since I will be in Chicago. The lunch was absolutely delicious. You will be hard-pressed to find better tasting burgers anywhere. I had the mushroom/onion burger with a delicious salad and home-made dressing and my Daughter had a Bison burger which was much better than mine, and, much healthier. The food options were plentiful and the prices were ridiculously low. Yes, you have to order from the counter and I do not see this as a draw back as one review suggests. It gives you an opportunity to see everything in their bakery counter and I am sure it helps to keep the costs down. Plus, they bring all the food directly to your table. If you are traveling on US Highway 2 and going through Devils Lake, this is definitely worth a visit.

The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable food that we had was excellent. The walleye was amazing. I would have no problem stopping in every time I come to Devil's Lake.

Forgot to take pictures when I visit fast food joints, primarily because the standards are supposed to be the same across all franchises. However, this DQ is the best I have ever been to and they have not disappointed yet. Went for lunch and usually order, like I did this visit, the double cheese value basket and exchange the sundae for a mini blizzard. Will always return if in the area for a quick fast and tasty bite and to satisfy my sugar crave. Thanks for reading.

On a side street in this thriving county seat in upstate North Dakota, this coffee shop offers great coffee and tasty pastries. Patrons seldom linger as they walk in --buy and return to their work sites. The Liquid Bean offers flavors by the score which were politely declined since their coffee is the stand out, not the additional flavors. The large latte ordered came HOT, full coffee flavored and was reasonable in price. The giant blueberry muffin we selected was a an additional hit. The site offers many comfortable tables and other spots to sit while enjoying local and state newspapers/magazines offered for customer use. Highly recommended for ones caffeine needs.

I may return but will order something else. The Monte Cristo was a terrible disappointment, the worst I've ever had, EVER! Usually a Monte Cristo has a really good crispy crunchy crust from thick tasty bread. Theirs was two pieces of plain thin bread partially (sloppily) dipped in a little bit of thin pancake batter which did not add much flavor so it was kind of a ham and swiss sandwich, not what I wanted. It wasn't even deeped fried, just griddled enough to get the pancake batter to attach. I added the salad bar which was very good, kudos to that. As far as the french fries, several other good reports on here, but honestly, they are just a tiny step up from fast food, nothing special by any means. The waitress I had and the others that I could observe were the best! She checked several times to make sure everything was ok and was very polite, friendly, and genuine. I will return but will try something else. I hope they will improve their Monte Cristo. If they don't improve it, they should remove it from their menu because it is not good to have a sub-standard dish. but in the meantime, I'm sure there is something better they make and will try again.

Its drive-thru coffee/blended drinks and cookies, but done perfectly. Every drink is made to order (as it should be) and every cookie seems to always be warm and gooey, straight from the oven. (homemade, too!)
If you have a pet, even they get a special treat at the window!
Highly recommend!

We usually stop here at least once on our visits to Devils Lake. The food has always been good, nothing spectacular, but you can count on a decent meal. We almost always have the Knephla soup, which is homemade. If you. Haven't had it, you must try at least a cup. A good stop.

This is a great Mexican restaurant. They decor and art work is amazing and so is the food. Salsa is perfect and the food comes out quick after ordering. I had the fajita burrito and hubby had the burrito supremo and both kids had soft shell taco and fries. They said it was the best taco ever!

I've been to several Pizza Ranches and this is the cleanest and nicely run. The chicken was cooked very well and the pizza was hot and fresh. This buffet is a little smaller than some that Ive been too. The only downfall is they couldn't keep up with the buffet pizza and it wasn't that busy.

After a long day of travel to get here coworkers and I met and had a late lunch and early Dinner. The menu was huge, the place is noisy, and the food was bar food minus (-). I ate the blue-cheese burger with fries and frankly all I could taste was the blue-cheese from its strength. Fries were decent with much ketchup. No flavor and fried, typical for bar style foods. They have any TVs for your sporting events however and the service was very good. Thanks for reading and if it helps give a thumbs up.
