Reviewed By V297MZsandypI had heard a lot about Summit from my friends so i chose to book this hotel, i wanted to stay at swiss heritage but couldnt get it as it was fully booked, so i got this hotel and i do not regret booking it, while travelling with my family my priority is my family happiness and safety, which was both met! It is a newly started hotel and i could see the staff giving their best, i am thankful for the attention given to my family as they saw we were traveling with an infant. Thank you team! Reviewed By Zeenat-2810Wow . Such a beautiful place and loved the service from Roshan and team. Panaromic View of kanchenjunga from top of hotel is just mesmerizing. Food - either go with local food or go with chicken dishes. Cook bhai serves the best stuff. They also serve some of best coffee shakes from their cafe - coco Rio. Highly recommended place.

Reviewed By koustavc2015It's truly a 'home away home' if you are with your family, staying at 'Darjeeling Heights' homestay. I am speechless while writing this review. Words of Mr Sudarshan (point of contact over phone for booking 'Darjeeling Heights') turns absolutely true as soon as I enter into the room. What a spectacular view through big glass windows! It's 'sleeping Buddha', Kanchenjunga with a whole range of mountains and the ' queen of hill' Darjeeling beneath. Wow! just amazing. Spacious and well-lit room having large comfortable bed for 2 with switch-controlled heating sleeping mattress and an attached clean washroom with gyeaser made our stay cozy. Breakfast was complimentary with our lodging package. Food was homely. Lunch and dinner 'thali' were no exception. The taste of food is same like people of that place - simple and lovely. A big thank to the cook. I am sorry, I don't know the name. But, I know Nikita, a bright young well behaved lady with an everlasting smiling face, always ready to run around to make your stay memorable. The homestay is far from the busy, crowded ' Mall' road but well connected with share cars (Sudarshan can arrange it). There are rooms at the groud floor as well as on the first. That means, without having to take any stairs, 'Darjeeling Heights' is ready to serve you if you are planning to take your old parent to high altitude. Mr Sudarshan is just a call away to make your stay pleasant and peaceful in Darjeeling. I can vouch that he will not disappoint you. N.B. It will be a sin if I don't acknowledge Mr Praveen (7001838430). Trust me, he was not a part of package shared by Mr Sudarshan. I got to know about him from one of my friends who travelled with Praveen, a month back. Praveen is a young charming man. He is comfortable both in Hindi, English (Surprisingly, can understand Bengali!!). If you are looking for a safe, sincere and punctual 'chaeffuer' during your trip to Darjeeling, just give him a call.

A Perfect Stay!
Reviewed By Josh RWhat an amazing stay with an amazing family. We absolutely loved our time at Smriya, so much so that we stayed 11 nights. The homestay is perfectly located for seeing the sights of Darjeeling and has glorious views, and is a short walk from shops and restaurants. The room was gorgeously decorated and very clean, and there was always hot water available in the bathroom. However, the best bit about staying at Smriya is the family!! We were made to feel so welcome, and loved our delicious breakfasts and dinners around the family kitchen table (the food is amazing!). We were even allowed to help with the momo making one morning! We're so grateful for their kindness, flexibility, fun and helpful advice. We have been travelling in India for quite a while now, and this is definitely one of the best places we've stayed. If you're visiting Darjeeling, stay here!!

Budget friendly good hotel
Reviewed By FREEdomExpress11First of all there are 100s of hotels in Darjeeling but I choose this one because it is budget friendly and up to the mark at the same time. We booked one room for ₹1500 which was clean and gave a spectacular side view of Kanchenjungha. The manager and staffs are very well behaved.They also provided necessary toiletries plus electric kettle. They use to turn on the gizzer centrally when needed that is a drawback because you can't ask for it in the middle of the night. The road to the hotel is steepy which is a little tough for old people. They also provide private car on the basis of your tour plan. There is a provision for room dinning which only delivers veg items. We ordered veg momos(12pc) and chowmine. Taste is really good. Last but not the least hotel gate closes at 9P.M. so make sure you had dinner before that.

Brilliant break in the wilderness
Reviewed By GinaH1983We loved our time at Bamboo Resort. We were welcomed to the cabin which was clean, spacious and well equipped. There were chairs to sit in the sun and overlook the most incredible scenery. The food was fabulous, and we were provided with directions for local walks including a tea estate, village and off the beaten track.The perfect de-stress and get away.

You require a smattering of children/youngsters and elderlies and warmth to make a homestay. This one works. Proper homestay - good care, homely food, genuine warmth, and a whole warm family trying to give you good advice and good chats. You would be lucky to stay here. There are not many rooms. Book early!
