Great choice to try the local-seafood cuisine of Sinaloa. Try the "Ceviche ESpecial" (if you like raw shrimp" its delicious! Also the "Atun Maguru Jalapeño" and "Taco de pulpo", and if you're into sushi try "Farallon Especial" is the best!

Local busines freinds brought us here and we really enjoyed it. Started with the ample seafood sampler, chervice and wide variety of good beverages. Then shared A LOT of great cold and cooked seafoods to which we often added a variety of Chile sauces. Finished with hot pepper candies.

I have no idea how to start this review or what to put, since everyone will think that is not true...
Why? because I have only great grand positive comments about this small place.
I will put it simple, the food is to die for. There is no single dish that I rejected or wanted to leave for latter. I ate as it was the end of the world.
Service is good also. The location is perfect, you can sit outside and enjoy the hot weather!

Specialties are around beef. There are mixed plates that include charro beans, grilled green onions, tortillas (flour or corn), sauce and a refreshing barley (agua de cebada) beverage. The service is very efficient and servers are very kind. It's a traditional family restaurant and has several locations in town.

Restaurante Y Pasteleria Panama

Reviewed By ALo227 - Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal, Mexico

Contrary to my aversion to restaurants that sit more than 100 customers I ventures in to this restaurant at the recommendation of almost everyone I met in the city. When I entered and saw a packed restaurant I second guessed my instinct which unfortunately was only confirmed later. The staff seemed to be on a constant hurry throughout my service. Everytime you asked them something you got the impression to be bothering them. As I sat down I was asked if I was ready to order from a 150 plus article menu! Boy, was that waitress in a hurry. When I asked what she recommended she just pointed at the table tents. Either she couldn't bother or had not drank her own kool-aid. I asked for a beer and for thw first time in my life I felt I had a drinking problem. With eyes wide open I was courtly told the restaurant did nos serve alcoholic beverages. I ordered a "typical steak" hoping that the food was the forte. I had much better comida norteña. The beans were above average. I then waited desperately to order dessert since being a bakery this is when I would see something good. When I finally ordered, I got a mix of cream cheese and guava that was well below any expectations. I must say that the dessert lady was much more courteous.

El Gallito

Reviewed By wendykain - Mazatlan, Mexico

It is always difficult to know whether to give a place four stars because on several different occasions throughout the meal it was just not possible to get attention from a waiter (in this case the place has lots of small rooms and unless we had got up and gone out of the room we had to wait until someone came back in), or whether to give five stars because after all the standards of waiters in Mexico shouldn't be judged by our gringo standards, and when the staff did pay attention they were helpful and competent.
The food was great. There was very little English spoken - Culiacan is not a place many gringos go. We spent three days and did not see one other gringo face. Certainly our appearance was considered curious by many, and we were smiled at as we made our way around Culiacan, as an oddity we felt, repeatedly.
Food wonderful, surroundings brilliant and unusual, wonderful position, at the start of Conetro Historico's most interesting street (to walk). We would be very happy to go back.
