Our first choice in Sulina, plenty of fish variety. Very busy in the summer. Old Romanian music reminds us of our childhood.

I will start by saying that this is not your classic restaurant. In fact, this is not a restaurant at all. It's a nice Lippovan (Romanian from the Dobrogea area) family that cooks delicious meals for tourists that want to try out some real Lippovan food. It is best if you ask your guide to take you there (I don't know if Mr. Neagu speaks English), but I guarantee you that it will be worth it. When we went there, we were a couple, two families + kids, our guide and another three young people. Mr. Neagu, who is a very amiable person, received us in garden and we ate there, at a table big enough for all and the atmosphere was very traditional and friendly. We were served two delicious types of fish soups and two types of oven-cooked fish (carp and luce, I belive), all for 30 RON.

I've been here in May and I went out of the restaurant very disappointed. 90% of what was in the menu was basically not available. The only available dish (carp with onion and polenta) was clearly frozen and re-heated in the microwave. In the end wasn't that bad but is not the kind of thing you should expect to have in a restaurant that claims to be the best in town. After I sit inside, they started to clean the floor around me, and the smell of the detergent mixed with my beer. To improve the atmosphere they put loud music as in a disco. I actually tried to eat as fast as I can and run away. I can understand that is low season but maybe this is a bit too much.

It's a restaurant at the hotel Delta. We had dinner and lunch there. The food is very good. Especially fish, very fresh. Danube herring is local speciality. The menu is substantial. There is a list of starters, cold and hot, main dishes of fish and meat, seafood. The rate quality of food/prices is good. The only reason I did not evaluate it as "Excellent" is the service. It requires improvement. However, in general, it did not spoil our meals

May 2016 - amazing fish dish! Everything was really great and I highly recommend this restaurant and the rooms of Pensiunea "Laguna Albastra" (i.e. 'Blue Lagoon' in Romanian language).
I try to add photos here, I see is impossible - I'll move to Pensiunea Laguna Albastra. Check for my review, please!

I've been after trying other places in Sulina. Eastland restaurant is on the main street of Sulina, near the canal. In a place like Sulina you should not try to find sophisticated food but a solid restaurant like Eastland. I had a very juicy grilled carp with french fries and after well prepared pancakes with chocolate. Everything very simple and honest. Friendly service and a good choice of beers. I went out happy for my choice and I suggest this place to whoever comes in Sulina.
