Once again another outstandingly good visit, charming hostess Susan Webb, very capably supported by her two lieutenants Nadia and Emanuela is the perfect foil for husband Bryan’s Michelin star cooking, the turbot was so so good. Several of our favourite small hotels in the North West have closed during Covid. Thanks to dedicated hard work, quality and the refined charm of Tyddyn Llan they are still going strong despite an ongoing struggle to recruit staff. Well done team Webb, you really deserve your success, please never retire.

GYG stop over

We stayed for one night at the Bron Y Graig and used it as a base to travel to GYG karting for the May 2022 race weekend and to go to Colwyn bay about 30m away. The property is immaculately kept and the staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely and enough to start the day. The rooms were very clean and tidy, the shower was great, hot and powerful and the view from the front bedrooms was beautiful, main beds in both front rooms are huge and comfy and the decor is all matching. Lovely old building and we will definitely book again when we are next at GYG or in the area. The seagers x 4

Perfect for family groups

We stayed for 2 nights for a large family celebration, 19 adults and 4 children, so we had the house and both cottages. The owner, Lucy was so helpful throughout the booking and organisation process, answering my many emails promptly and giving much needed advice, nothing was too much trouble for her. The house is beautiful but 2 days just wasn’t enough to enjoy all the facilities. There is plenty of space for parking - we had 8 cars. The garden is impressive, a field for the big and little kids to play football, childrens play area, outdoor table seating, loungers and a firepit chilling place, I didn’t even get around to checking out the large chess/draughts set in the garden. The hot tub was perfect, ready to use when we got there. Inside the house there is lots of space and plenty of rooms to chill. The kitchen was perfect with all the usual appliances, big American fridge freezer, plenty of room for all our drinks - the coffee machine was a huge winner for us, and the lovely extra touches of a welcome basket with cereal, coffee beans, biscuits and crisps. There were plenty of plates, glasses and cutlery for our party. We had a very active toddler with us and was pleased to see there were stair guards on all the stairs. We used all the bedrooms, Lucy arranged extra beds for the kids in the biggest room (room 1). Plenty of sockets and clothes hangers in all rooms. The cottages were equally perfect. The Stable Cottage, 1 bedroom is a perfect place for a couple to stay - The Cow Shed is perfect for a family of 4. Both very well equipped, beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. Again the same lovely welcome basket in both cottages. Overall Highly recommended! We will return as a group again and definitely stay longer!! As a note, we ordered Tesco delivery for our basics which saved a lot of time. Yum Yums in Corwen provided a fabulous buffet. Also I can highly recommend Alpine travel for coach hire. We visited Llandudno and were worried about parking for so many cars so we hired a midi coach for the day - the service we received was amazing.

Lovely Hotel

What a wonderful place to stay. Room and ensuite was warm, spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive to every need. A refreshing change from the average chain hotels... Loved the dining room and breakfast was perfect. The bar was cosy and the barman chatty and friendly. And so inexpensive too. A lovely experience of traditional Welsh hospitality....
