Reviewed By Sunshine26329214859Stayed for s night over Jubilee bank holiday , there were 4 of us in a king and a twin room. The rooms themselves are really nicely decorated and have everything that you need . The owners themselves are really friendly and accommodating. The bar and breakfast room are inside the old chapel and it is just stunning . Definitely will be staying again and it’s the only place I’d stay when visiting North Wales .

Reviewed By liam2702Me and my partner both came in and ordered the Stake and Ale pie, and it was honestly the nicest pie I’ve eaten! A generous piece of pie with plenty big pieces of steak inside. David was very friendly and another woman that served us, I did not catch her name unfortunately. A pint of MPA went down nicely! Would love to come again.

Y Capel (‘The Chapel’) is a boutique guest house in the heart of the medieval Conwy walls, a sister property for the neighbouring pub The Erskine Arms. Y Capel offers eleven stunning yet homely guest bedrooms. As the name might suggest, the rooms are found within a stunning 19th century chapel and outbuildings retaining many of the original features of those structures including the baptismal pool that can be seen through the floor of the entrance, the original pitch pine roof timbers, the stone set windows and the elaborate front façade. We wanted to keep the building as original as we could in appearance but ensuring that it met with what guests would be expecting from modern comfortable accommodation. Being right in the centre of Conwy means that we are only a few yards from all that Conwy has to offer. It also gives some of the first floor rooms interesting views out over roof tops to the Castle and beyond.

Reviewed By ianw067We stayed in the annexe part of the building ( Room 9 ). The decor, bathroom and bedding were absolutely beautiful. The french windows open onto the courtyard- we sat outside. A few people pass by but it was not an issue. We had breakfast in the Erskine hotel- approx 50m away. A first class breakfast with first class service. We very rarely come across accommodation/hotel as good as this.FIRST CLASS.

Excellent accomodation in ideal place
Reviewed By Jules4shawWe stayed for one night and were very impressed by this excellent property which is part of the accommodation for The Erskine Arms. The facilities are beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean . There is a welcoming central lounge area with tea and coffee making facilities and there is also free onsite parking which is a bonus in Conwy. The property is situated in the centre of Conwy with great views from our balcony room over the Church and the castle . The church bell's chime regularly throughout the night but that didn't disturb me ..they even provide ear plugs in case this is a problem! The staff in the Erskine Arms ( where you have your breakfast) were welcoming and helpful . The food and breakfast in the Erskine Arms was fantastic . There are no negatives to report at all . I highly recommend this property.

Reviewed By georgiep8895The place was just lovely, so much more than we expected. The room was modern and extremely clean. The owner and staff were so lovely and helpful. We said we wouldn’t be able to have breakfast as we were up and off earlier than breakfast time and they left us croissants, fruit, yoghurts and cereal in our room for us instead. Fresh towels and toiletries were left outside our room for us the next day. The cooked breakfast that we had in the cafe as part of our stay was extremely good too. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

Left feeling disappointed at what should of been great.
Reviewed By hotelbuffArrival was straight forward with them arranging for the key to be left in a secure place if arriving late. This is not a manned business so if there is a problem you havent really got anyone to message if you arrive late as we did. We stayed on the top floor, the rooms are beautifully decorated however need better attention to details. I booked the suite and non of the lights in the shower worked so I had to shower in the dark. There was no toiletries supplied in my room and only partial in my friends room. Nespresso offered in both rooms as was coffee and tea with fresh milk in the fridge. The cups in both room were dirty which isn't acceptable as was the glass in my room. The bed felt flimsy but was comfortable however the noise on high street at night went on till the early hours and was very disruptive. The bathroom was gorgeous but another light out in the main bath area and one above the sink. I didn't care for the mismatched hangers which at that price should be matching and you should be able to hang trousers,. Dresses or longee clothing without having to remove a chair. The room was very cold and the heating wasnt switched on however they do supply two heaters in the suite one of which needs to be removed as doesn't work! The sockets in the cupboards are very awkward to reach and very hard to plug in a mobile charger. I was woken at 6am with a great bang no idea what it was but after an already disturbed night wasn't appreciated. We asked for one room to be accessible but they put us both on the 2nd floor which was frustrating and was not advised to the last moment. Breakfast is not in the tea rooms below but the coffee shop next door and was really good but would have been nice to offer cereals without having to ask for them. When something is not offered you don't feel it is available. I also wanted to raise my issues through the night but didn't feel comfortable raising it in a coffe shop with people in it. Overall attention to detail is lacking as is the the cleanliness from black bits over the sheets to dirty cups however shower, bath and sink where fine. Replace the light bulbs looking at other reviews this is not a new issue and five bulbs not working and one faulty heater shows a lack of care towards guests. Such a shame as all the minor issues left both parties feeling frustrated and disappointed and the set up makes complaining awkward. I've tried to be constructive as all of these issues are resolveble apart from the street noise which is beyond their control.
