In response to the anonymous Facebook reviewer: yes it is true that Sara can be...hmmm... exuberantly friendly, but that does NOT detract form the quality of the food or from the overall experience.
It is still and always one of our favorite go-to places in Como.

We came here following a recommendation from our hotel's receptionist. We were the only tourist around...
The restaurant decor is rather plain, but the food was excellent!
We had a wonderful traditional Tuscan Ribolita soup, and then we had fresh pasta with truffles and a wonderful steak.
Small place packed with local- great food indeed!

We had beef tartare, shrimp scampi, black cod, turbot, and tiramisu, coconut/caramel for dessert. All portions are proper for medium Americans that come in hungry. The beef tartare was exquisite with a bit of muted sweetness and flavorful pistachio pesto. The shrimp scampi with foie gras was light, but very flavorful. The black cod (not black in color) was cooked to perfection and when combined with the white bean mousse produced a rich, but delicate experience. The turbot was excellent with delicate asparagus, fava beans, chanterelles mushrooms. The tiramisu is much improved from the traditional (biscuit) ...frozen creme fresh, granulated cacau chocolate and cappuccino sauce. The caramel and coconut combination
was delightful with intense caramel and delicate coconut undertone. Also try the Mirto aperitif to end your experience.....chocolate undertone with light cherry flavor.

Tucked away in a not very pretty back street. Tables or eat at a long bench. Slightly over complicated menu and upselling. We only wanted a main but told that portions were small so ordered a starter to bulk things up. Big mistake as the beef main course was more than generous,so much so that I couldn’t finish it after my obligatory starter. Wouldn’t go here for a romantic supper as it’s all a bit brisk and quite packed in. Having got the negs out the way, the food was fantastic.

This has been the best gnocchi I tried and the salads and the Deserts are amazing. Generous dish sizes and fresh ingredients are a deadly combination in any restaurant. It can be very crowded but that's ok if you have a reservation.

I found this place quite by chance whilst looking for somewhere to eat early evening and decided to have 'quick' beer before hand. I ended up staying all night. The beer is fantastic, the staff are so friendly and knowlegable about 'craft' beer and ales and I made many Italian friends that night. They have an informal restaurant at the back or you can eat at the bar if you prefer. The prices aren't bad either. A pint of IPA and fish and chips will set you back 11 Euros

We arrived at 6.30 pm in the hope we could get a table as we hadn't booked. The lovely owner (I assume) advised us that dinner wasn't until 7. Luckily we got a table and enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine as we waited. We were kindly brought AMAZING homemade bread.. it was yum.
The food we received was exceptional!! We had a beautiful tomato soup with mozarella to start, followed by quite possibly the best steak I have ever had! (Although we should have shared the 500gram steak rather than got one each)! After all of this, we finished the night with a lovely home made dessert!
Having been in Italy 2 weeks, this was by far the best meal we have had, it doesn't even compare to others. We felt so at ease In the resultant with very lovely, friendly and knowledgeable staff - a hard find especially in Italy!
You could tell that this is place is founded on a love of simple, local and quality ingredients! Thank you for a truly wonderful dinner!

The bar staff create excellent tasting and original cocktails for each season. They also can and do mix traditional, such as my Manhattan; still their passion is in special creations. I had two different custom cocktails to try out the creations and both presented different tastes with great care and art. Fun time drinking and chatting with the bar staff

We came here as a treat on our honeymoon after Reading the reviews. We wanted something a bit different from the rest of the restaurants in some, though we had a lot of good meals, the majority of the restruntants offered very similar menus.
Nature cafe did not disappoint, a good options of choice we both has there courses each one delicious, and our meal here was one of the highlights of our trip.
The staff all speak good English and are very knowlagable of the menu, the restaurant itself is full of character and feels like a old warehouse but in a classy way.
I would reckoned this to anyone it was classic dinner with a modern touch at a very reasonable price

Gracious dining with a lot of ambience. Waitress was soft spoken and dressed in period attire. Exceptional service and cuisine to match. Michelin star is well deserved. Lobster from Africa was delicately prepared. Suckling pig was unbelievably tender yet crunchy and juicy. many breads and different butters. In the Centro so park outside and an easy 5 plus minutes walk.
