Constitucion is one of those places you usually stop for gas while passing through if you're driving up or down the Baja....but if you happen to hit it at a meal time, it's pretty hard to know where to eat if you're not a local. I've found myself in the same appealing storefront restaurant on the main drag twice now....and was completely satisfied both times. Asadero Tribi is clean and very Mexican. Owned by Miguel Mosqueda Mendoza, they offer a wide range of traditional Mexican dishes, to appeal to every craving, all prepared to order....with a woman making tortillas in the front of the restaurant. It seems to be a locals favorite because each time I have been there, tables were full of people. The wait staff is sweet and efficient. There's a full bar, too.
The last time I was there, it was with a group of 10 of us whale watchers, on our way to Lopez Mateos....and they had no problem accommodating all of us immediately. Everyone loved what they ordered, so everything is delicious and very very reasonably priced.

Offering traditional Mexican cooking and culture classes in the village of San Bartolo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. We look forward to cooking with you!
The East Cape region of Baja California Sur is full of pleasant surprises -- and near the top of my list of surprises is Buen Provecho. Renee and Denise have recently moved their cooking school from La Paz to the rustic little oasis of San Bartolo, about half way between La Paz and Cabo San Lucas, and it's well worth the trip. They have excellent knowledge of regional cooking and have built a built a beautiful new teaching kitchen to share their skills with visitors. With their expert coaching, our group of 9 novices produced a delicious array of dishes, including a chicken mole and a glazed pork dish that were to die for. Menus vary according to what's available, and you will NOT find a taco or refried beans on the list. The Gardens are going to be fabulous, and I look forward to future visits! A class starts at noon, includes a few snacks along the way, and the group sits down to dinner around 4. Bring your own wine or beer.

Split the seafood meal for 2. Enough food for sure but there was more coating on the fish and shrimp than the actual fish or shrimp, imperial shrimp was dry and tasteless. The margaritas were good. Best thing about this place is the service, very good

Stumbled upon this place as I was leaving town and knowing that there are not many places to the south, I decided to stop for breakfast. Excellent pastries were brought - complementary! Service was very friendly and personable. Food was excellent. Located in an open air palapa.

Stopped for lunch on the way south. Very popular with the locals and for good reason. We got a whole chicken with fries, macaroni salad, tortillas and sodas for 150p. Everything was great, expecially the chicken. Plenty for 3 people. Will definitely stop again.

The restaurant looked fairly new. Simple. Nice decor. Soft like indian flute music, not Mex. A plus. Really cold beer. Super beef fajita. I think the beef was Arachera, a marinated skirt steak. My partner had chicken fajita, excellent as well. All in all, I'll stop back every time I'm going through on my way to Cabo Pulmo.
