Cosy and perfect for gatherings

We had a gathering with our friends at casa titik. We booked the whole villa- 10 rooms. The villa had a dining area, swimming pool, open space for kids to run around, very near to the beach and there was also a horse stable nearby. The room was good, it had all the basic amenities, clean and comfortable. What we loved most about the villa is the dining area which was really near to the swimming pool. It was very easy to monitor our kids swimming while also having fun with our friends. The open space was also very good. Our kids played soccer, games and so much more. There were also some sheep and goat that came by. We also booked for meals at the villa. Overall, the food tasted ok. It was very convenient to us since we get to enjoy more time together with our friends. The beach nearby the villa was also good. We really had a superb gathering at casa titik and would consider the place in the future.

Simple, clean, friendly staff and a great location for a short stay

Reviewed By ELAYTEE

Stayed for just 2 nights. Rooms are basic but clean and homely. Not an ultra modern hotel however it is nice for a short break. All basic amenities provided, although our fridge was not working. The sofa could also do with a refresh as its a bit worn, but only a minor complaint and not a big deal. Room was clean, had good wifi and powerful AC. We had a downstairs room. There is free parking and the chalets are right next to a lovely clean beach. A hotel shower is provided at the compound exit to wash off sand. Front desk staff here are very friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping and security are also nice. Breakfast was not a buffet, but we had the option to choose from a menu. I guess due to a lack of guests, as we arrived just after international travel reopened due to covid. I assume not enough guests to make a buffet worthwhile. Portion size was decent, quality was good, juices are fresh. Chicken with my nasi lemak was very small and half bones, but again.. only a minor complaint. The only slight downside is that the walls and floor are thin. E.g. we can hear people walking up to the floor above, or having a conversation outside the room through the walls. It may wake you up if you are a light sleeper. We paid around £29 / 170myr per night for a twin room. It is good value and we would return again in the future.

Poorly Maintained

Reviewed By Cruiser306504

The hotel is very well designed but maintaince is very poor with very low standard of hygiene. The first thing we noticed was the green fungus swimming pool, so dirty and murky was unable to see the bottom of pool. WiFi did not extend to our room, although we were centrally located. Regarding our room... the bath mat looked like an old grey rag with 3 holes and tears. One of the bathtowels was an equally dirty grey. The bedsheet was stained. The sliding door to the terrace, lock fell to the floor in bits. In the Breakfast room, the whole time we were in there, noticed sausages on the floor with the staff simply walking around them.. Not cleaned up.. Disgusting!!! The glasses were both th stained and still dirty. In conclusion, all of these things could easily be avoided and rectified with a little bit care and attention to detail by management and staff.

Club Med Cherating - Malaysia

Cherating Beach seems to perch on the east coast of Malaysia. The pace of life in this 80-hectare Resort, complete with bungalows on stilts nestling amid lush vegetation, is set by the comings and goings of the macaque monkeys, gibbons, monitors, rare birds and multicoloured butterflies. Here you can enjoy one pleasure after another, none of which is anything like the last - an excursion in a dugout canoe, a relaxing session at the Club Med Spa or a cocktail at the bar, to name but a few.

A getaway to remember for the family

Reviewed By jerryselvan

My family and I spent 4 days in Club Med Cherating earlier this week and it was an experience that none of us would soon forget, for the right reasons! Our cohort of my elderly parents, my brother, his wife and their 2 teenage daughters plus myself had an amazing time thanks to the various activities on offer, entertaining shows put on for us, delicious variety and spread of food served up constantly and most importantly the incredible staff/GO’s throughout the resort. I was really looking forward to taking sailing lessons but alas the wind didn’t play ball on the days I was there, but I still got to do some kayaking, rock climbing and even swung on the trapeze! I didn’t believe I could go on the trapeze feeling a little old for it being in my 40’s but the encouragement from the GO’s was enough for me to give it a go and am I glad I did it. Even my older brother and teenaged niece gave the trapeze a go and we successfully hung upside down by our feet! In terms of the shows that were put on for the guests, we were quite fortunate to be there the night they brought a couple of professional dancers one night, and also there was a big party the 2nd night to celebrate the handover from the current General Manager of the resort to his replacement. The music and dancing that went on was incredible and it was a safe environment where people could let loose and have fun. I especially liked seeing the older and younger guests hitting the dance floor together and just having a blast without a care in the world. The food throughout the stay was another highlight. The variety and quality was impressive and the service staff were incredible. I have to make a special mention of Chef Guna who made the extra effort of ensuring that my sister-in-law always had a proper vegetarian meal prepared for her at EVERY mealtime, and I mean EVERY mealtime. So much so that at times my sister in law was trying to avoid him because she didn’t want to trouble him but he would eventually find her . Guna also helped me put something together at the last minute (I only asked him at lunchtime of the same day!). I asked if he could prepare something for my brother and sis-in-law’s 20th wedding anniversary and he made it happen that night by bringing out a mousse with fruits and a few staff came out singing as well. He did say if I told him a day before he would have arranged for a cake, etc and it was poor planning from my part but the fact that he did something anyways was appreciated. Last but not least are the staff, or the GO’s who make the total experience enjoyable and memorable. It can’t be easy to be so upbeat and friendly and lively to ALL the guests ALL the time but they manage to do it. There were so many great GO’s who were always ready to help at any given time but for my family, we personally want to thank GO Melissa from reception who was a blessing to us. She helped check my brother, his wife and kids in and throughout the 4 days made it a point to check on us regularly and encourage us to get involved. My family aren’t the most outgoing or adventurous and don’t do dance parties but my 13 year old niece has a passion for it but never dances outside of the house because she’s quite shy. Melissa however picked up on her introverted dance moves with us at a corner and cajoled and encouraged her and held her hand to get her to come out of her shell and before we knew it, my niece was dancing in the middle of the dance floor with strangers and even carried on when others stopped! I also noticed that Melissa would make an effort to go to tables that were keeping to themselves and start chatting to them and try to get them involved in the activities. She seems to have a knack of disarming people and making them feel relaxed around her, which is great in an environment like this because you want people to let their guard down and have a good time. Thanks again, Melissa. My nieces adore you and I think they want to adopt you as a sister! That review turned out longer than I expected but it just flowed thinking back about the great time we had. All in all, a fantastic destination for an all-inclusive family holiday in a picturesque little spot of paradise. Oh, I almost forgot. We also saw a turtle laying eggs on the beach the first night we arrived!!! What an amazing experience! The only downside of all this is that I’m going to have to start drinking less and saving my money because my niece is insisting I bring her here again for her birthday later this year! Thank you, Club Med Cherating

There are basically three types of rooms here, cabins with a shared bathroom, cabins with their own bathrooms and aircon cabins with bathroom, so you can choose you're level of comfort and price. The owner is extremely helpful and willing to accomodate long-stay guests with better prices. There is a shared kitchen and free breakfast . Walking distance to the beach, local sites, mini-marts. Great Place!!! I will become a regular visitor of this place.
