What better way to spend a rainy day than at the table with fine Italian food and wine. The Miramare chef is an expert in seafood and this coastal restaurant serves nothing but fresh. I always get the fried calamari because it's better than anything I could make at home, but this time it exceeded all others. Not one drop of oil in the batter, crispy, light, and perfectly presented. We were staying not far from this restaurant in a villa that is actually owned by the same gentleman who owns this restaurant! Our villa was as lovely as the restaurant.From the main road through Castagneto Carducci the restaurant doesn't look much, but you can drive through a narrow archway (parking is available but limited), and you are rewarded with the most amazing view of the Tuscan Hills! We went for my boyfriends birthday dinner, had a fab table on the edge so we could see the beautiful view and sunset. We ate in the restaurant, there is also a separate part which is the pizzeria. The service and food was fantastic, pasta to die for and lovely wines. I would definitely recommend this lovely gem, it's not in the main town area, just on the road coming in or out of CC depending which way you are going!a heartfelt thanks from all the staff of Il Vecchio Frantoio restaurant, we hope to see you soon!

Had lunch here while enjoying a lovely day at the beach. Staff was very pleasant and service was prompt. Fried calamari was outstanding. Linguine with lobster was excellent and generously portioned. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere casual and friendly. Just right in this charming beach town.

The group of cyclist I accompany have made this this restaurant part of an annual pilgrimage for the past eight years and the owner now recognizes us and finds us a large table.Although we only go at lunchtime and usually restrict our meal to anti-pasta we can always find an excellent choice of food. Over the years I have tried most of these dishes and have enjoyed everyone, one day I would like to come in the evening, sit on the balcony with my wife and have a full course meal with wine.

When a restaurant receives an accolade from Michelin, it is for a reason. Such is the case with La Pineta. It's modest entrance betrays the opulent dining experience that awaits within. The bistro is right on the beach, where the five senses awaken: The sliding swoosh of the waves on the sand. The gleaming, carefully-chosen glassware, cutlery, linens, and dinnerware. The extensive wine list, brought to your table on it's own table. The ever-present aroma of the ocean mixing with the lavishly-prepared dishes. The texture and flavour of the fish and seafood. Fresh Fines de Claires are available, and highly recommended to start, followed by any of the three tasting menus. Donât let the wine list intimidate you, the sommelier is sure to please even the finest palate. Reservations absolutely necessary; this is a 1-Star Michelin restaurant, after all. Well worth a visit.

We actually spent 2 dinners at the place and we were very happy on both occasions! Great Chef and family serving the guests, creating a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. The cooking is almost fine dining but with a local twist, good, home made products and preparation. Try the Sea Bass or the home made prosciutto! Ask for tomato&garlic&olive oil salsa to add to some meets and enjoy the very good, local wines selection!

We had a dinner with friends in restaurant, and mostly enjoyed all the dishes! Very friendly staff and the owner was suggesting dishes by this own! All the appetizers and pastas were just great, authentic and delicate. But the meat courses were 50/50. Someone really enjoyed the quality and level of preparation, but some people didn't. Few steaks were like a bit boiled, not grilled, but the quality of the meat by itself was good!The wine list is really tiny, probably they have special selection of the wines per each day.

It's quite uncommon to me a 5/5 review after only one dinner but.... Location is gorgeous , with outside tables. The food is great, with no exception. Fish perfectly cooked.The service professional but not impersonal. Portions are more than adequate. Reservation is recommended. There's a free parking lot beside the restaurant. I defenetly would dine here again (and again, and again).
