Casale Monferrato (Italian pronunciation: [kaˈzaːle momferˈraːto]) is a town in the Piedmont region in Italy, in the province of Alessandria. It is situated about 60 km (37 mi) east of Turin on the right bank of the Po, where the river runs at the foot of the Montferrat hills. Beyond the river lies the vast plain of the Po valley.

Nice local restaurant. Short but really not bad menu (in my opinion short menu is an advantage of a restaurant - better is to make few things but very well than many things but average).
They have tasty apetizers (the tongue is great).
I ordered "tagliata" and the meat was one of the best I ever had!
Also the dessert basing on "torrone" was delicious.

Regional cuisine with special attention to the products at zero distance.
I have been there several times.
The food is not consistent, I'm vegetarian so I can have just a couple of dishes on the menu, I've tried the same plates different times: every single time they taste different!sometimes they're nice and I'm happy with them, other times I can't say the same. I'm not talking about Michelin star recipes: they were able to disappoint me with pasta with tomato sauce!
I'm just not happy with the place because sometimes I like it, and other times, having exactly the same things is just plain horrible.
I'm not sure I would recommend it.

stopped by this slow food restaurant for lunch on our way back from Alba to Milan, didn't expect so good food, even just an osteria, the environment is neat, calm and minimalistic, all dishes are fairly charged, 6-8 euro for antipasto (i had mixed cold cut, my hubby had the typical flan of cheese and mushrooms), then i had a tajarin (home-made pasta) with truffle and my hubby had rivioli with deep fried fresh porcini mushroom as contorno, then dessert, wine, coffee and liquor. we ordered a very good barbera d'asti otherwise we could have kept the bill under 100 euros. we didn't order the signature bollito nor beef tartar (made with piemonte beef) cause we had these the night before. it never goes wrong when one eats in piemonte!!!

I came back to my city after 7 months of US life...
It was just a real homecoming where I discovered old tastes and flavors I almost forgot.
The location is great and the food is always well-made, with a good mixture between Monferrato traditional way of cooking and modern needs.
You can find chicken, frogs, rabbit and steak obviously.
My chicken salad was tasty and penne al bronzo with vegetables reminded me Mum's style.
There's a good selection of wines but it's a pity that you can not have the wine list but you can only decide talking to the waiter and being guided by his suggestions....not knowing the price.

The best flavors of homemade ice cream, to be consumed on the spot or taken away and enjoyed at home ..
Delicious and creamy icecream...few tastes but great! They use a lot of fresh fruits and you can find also a lot of cakes. If you are in Casale, you can't miss it!

Accademia Ristorante is located in the centre of Casale Monferrato, in the historic Palazzo Gozzano Treville (1700ca), amazing. It is a place suitable for all: high level italian cousine at reasonable prices. The restaurant lives in three moment of the day: Light Lunch, for a fast but not trivial lunch break, Appetizer AR, good cocktails with tastes from the kitchen, and Dinner, where you can enjoy in total relax the dishes of our young chef Daniela Palestro. A perfect harmony between history, present and future to give you the maximum taste and emotions.
We were brought her for dinner by a friend and I would have never believed what the huge nondescript doors would hold behind them! The only thing you see is a stand with a menu and you have to ring a bell to enter. The portal was opened and you stepped into a huge courtyard and walked up a beautiful stairway to the restaurant. It was like stepping back in time and you felt like you should be wearing a gown and powdered wig! The building had once been the Accademia Filarmonica. The building is several hundred years old and is still preserved with original furniture and fresco's. The dining room has been updated and is more modern but you still fell like you stepped back in time.
We ate regional dishes and had a local wine to compliment our meal. I started with veal over lettuce accompanied by a tuna mixture, followed by risotto with porcini mushrooms. We ended with dessert and I had a fresh fruit aspic that was heavenly!. The creativity with the food will not disappoint!
After dinner we were given a tour of some of the rooms and that was a real treat!
If you find yourself the the charming town of Casales, make sure to plan on a dinner here and fell like you're stepping back in time!

We got the recommendation for this restaurant from a local. We found the indication on Tripadvisor and decided to go there by walking since in the map it was only 15 minutes walk. The indication was dead wrong. We couldn't find the place and wandered in the wrong area for 20 minutes. We called the place and was informed that it was in another side of the town. When we arrived, the waiter came and gave us no explanation at all about the menu. He served us dish after dish without saying a word... Though everything was great, we thought it was a little odd. We ended up didn't take the secondi because we didn't know how many primi there were and ended up being so full before the secondi. I am not sure if they fix the indication or not, but if it's sill close to Fiume Po, it's the wrong direction!

We wondered why this place was packed with locals, and found out why. By 8pm on a Wednesday every table was full. Superb seafood and porcini mushrooms. We watched as most tables started with the entree of 5 styles of seafood, followed by overflowing plates of mussels. The plate of cooked Porcini mushrooms were delectable,.Mountains of food. However we are not sure if things were lost in translation as the bill was much more than expected and given as one figure!!,
