A cheap and clean place to stay
Reviewed By Qila RA well kept budget hotel. Rooms were clean. Very close to nearby shop and located and the heart of brinchang town. Would love to stay there again. However not suitable for family with old age people or disabled kids as their room at second and third floor and no lift there. Other than that, i would recommend this place to you!

terrible room
Reviewed By Ismail Awe booked 7 rooms fr our family fr 2 nights. arrived aroud 1700 on may 29th nd the rooms were not ready. all rooms were in terrible condition. the main door had to b pushed hard to lock. the toilet was vry dirty. toilet seat was rusted nd cement nd dust. the shower holder was dangling as one screw was missing. the sink was dirty. the room was dusty nd cob webs to b found near the window. the small balcony had butts all over. called reception 4 times nd finally got a room boy. he vaccumed nd did his best to clean. it was mch better. we passed our comments to the receptionist nd asked to pass our fedback to the gm. he said he wud do so.

Hotel With A Temple View
Reviewed By shaniandrasReserved a night here as everywhere else is fully booked. For the price, everything is acceptable here. The room is clean and proper but not recommended to stay for more than 2 nights as it may get a bit claustrophobic as the rooms aren't big and there is only one window to allow light in. It is tucked deep within, far from the main streets of Cameron Highlands and the road leading into the place isn't wide enough to accommodate 2 cars at once but luckily, there isn't much traffic here. The only thing to watch out for is the temple nearby (Sam Poh) which can get very eerie at times especially when they have group processions as early as 5am and the chanting can be very disturbing. Parking can also be another issue as it is very limited. There is a small stretch in front of the hotel which can fit probably up to a maximum of 10 cars and it is not advisable to park at the sides because the roads are small and your vehicle may be damaged due to other larger vehicles squeezing through. May bugged you for the entire stay if you did not get the designated parking spot.

Old but Strong
Reviewed By kamarasamanSpacious room and bathroom. Clean & comfy bed. Lighting is bright but the carpet floor is high time to be replaced. Strong and hot enough water from the shower for the cold weather in the early morning. Breakfast is okay with local food. The staff and the receptionist are friendly and helpful. The only weakness the walls are thin. Parking is public is where you got to buy the tickets at counter.

Parkland Apartment is one of the oldest family-owned establishments in Cameron Highlands, so when it comes to welcoming tourists to the hills, we know best.Parkland Apartment consists of 20 units of fully-furnished apartments complete with all the luxuries for the modern day traveller. This includes free WiFi connection and satellite TV channels in all our apartments amongst many other value-added services. Our apartments are located by the Golf Course just a short walk away from Brinchang town and is a favorite resting point for tourists and golfers.

Reviewed By 69TedWe stayed in one of the 3 bedroom apartments here and were fairly satisfied with it, given the reasonable price paid. Basically, we felt it gave us exactly what it said on the label. The staff checking us in were fine - we were shown to our apartment and had the water heaters explained to us. You need to let them know if you want your apartment cleaned each day. We didn't, so had no more dealings with staff until check out but no complaints. The apartment was spacious with a balcony giving nice views. There was a good sized fridge, which, unlike many holiday accommodation fridges, had a temperature control with a proper cold setting available and a separate freezer compartment so that you could properly freeze cool box ice packs. We knew there were no cooking utensils provided so we came prepared and found the kitchen perfectly adequate for our breakfast needs. It's not ultra-modern or luxurious accommodation but we found it acceptably clean. None of the unpleasant surprises that accommodation at this price sometimes brings you. Location was pretty good too. Only a short walk into Brinchang and being on the main road meant easy car access to anywhere further away. The apartments are up a slope and set slightly back from the main road, so traffic noise wasn't really an issue. The apartment has neither air con nor heating and, temperature-wise at least, I don't honestly think either are needed. This does however mean that they are a little bit damp inside. I think the bathrooms would benefit from having extractor fans to help clear some of the dampness. Not a huge issue for a short stay though, and this wouldn't stop us booking here again.

I want OUT the moment I enter the room
Reviewed By 667angeltI booked this hotel based on the convincing photos Ive seen online. But unfortunately, my room is far from what's shown online. I must say, this is one of the worst 2-3 star hotel I've ever stayed. I was hopeful at first during the check in but the moment the receptionist hand over a bag that contains the room cards and a TV remote control, I can't help but noticing the stains on the the bag. It looks like fungus (you can view my uploaded picture) OK cool nevermind, but wow, when I enter the room, it felt like nobody cares. The wall, window, blinds are so dusty and dirty. Lizard droppings and unknown black spots can be seen on the window. There are cob webs at the windows too and yellow moist stains on the ceiling can be easily spotted. Couldn't stand looking at the window so I tried lowering the blinds. But sadly, they are not working. You can't go all up, you can't control where you want it to stop. And the blinds are so dirty that it's a must to roll it back up. Then I tried taking a nap. But my desire to sleep disappeared the moment I see dirty stains on the pillow, also the sheets. Didn't sleep well that night. As expected, I can smell my boyfriend's poop when he is using the toilet, because the toilet IS IN THE ROOM. I almost lost it when I saw the glass bathroom is empty on top that allows smell to travel around the room. How uncomfortable and unhygienic! Brinchang is one of the busiest part of Cameron Highlands and there are huge amount of tourists every month, so hotels are everywhere there. In my understanding, if you want to compete with other hotels, it's definitely necessary to keep track with the condition of the place that helps you to generate money - the room! The price is not that cheap too, I paid rm130 (incld tax)... I feel sorry for those who has stayed in the same room as mine, and I can't help to wonder how long was the last cleaning done in room 404. Room 404, this is the scariest room I have ever stayed. Just my honest review.

The place has real potential, just lacking some basic provisions - like floor towels / hand towels. The rooms are big, as are the balconies with nice views too. Self-prepared breakfast in the kitchen is fun - only eggs and bread - no fruit or cereal, or tea or coffee - which would have been nice to have. But for the price and location - a good place to stay.

Reviewed By aliffthegreatMe and my family have stayed here in August 2019. The location is quite strategic, close to the foodies area and the market. I booked it online for about RM130/night. Bed is ok, toilet is functioning well with the hot water ready. Maybe the management can consider to provide the hair dryer, it would be so great then.
