Tenne Blueberry Hill

Reviewed By worldTravelerUSA2009 - DC

the place serves typical german food that everything is salty and over cooked. Nothing to write home about. The owner sings for about 15 minutes started around 8:30ish, all part of the program. The decoration of the restaurant is very simply tasteful. Other than being curious about this place. Food wise, we much prefer its next door neighbor, the pub and live music Balkan food restaurant, Piano.

A really nice Little hidden gem. A little bid off the main street there is this restaurant with all these German specialities. My husband and children both had deer and wild boar with dumplings. They were really excited, it was just good. Big portions and nice outside Seating!

We had breakfast at the Berliner Hof, but did not stay there. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The surroundings were a little worn out, but nice and clean. I think the owner collects coffee sets as those were just everywhere. The breakfast itself was average, nothing revolutionating, but there were eggs, coffee, chocolate, juice etc. and we got plenty of good advises for a nice stay.

Die kleine Zauberwelt is a nice restaurant for families with kids. Food & service are ok. Little bit slow but nice. Schnitzel was good. Like in most German Family restaurants the portions are too big. Nice Pfalzwine served by the glass, no winelist availabe.

We ate here twice whilst staying in Braunlage,it was lovely both times and the staff are so helpful. It helped make up for our dread full accommodation in an appartment (block of flats behind another block of flats!!)called Harz Oase,in the pictures it looked lovely but it had obviously been very cleverly dreseed and photographed!!Grimbarts however was wonderful.

Kleine Auszeit

Reviewed By Anne N - Kolding, Denmark

Jasper

Reviewed By prussia11 - Atlanta

This is a newer place in the center of Braunlage.
I see the Jasper as a great new venue to enjoy.
Torsten's team is always welcoming for everyone - you have plenty of listings on their cocktail menu (my favorite is still the Long Island Icetea) but even for hungry folks their kitchen has plenty of surprise and their offer is different versus the typical local cusine. It's my favorite local hangout, when I'm in town and I have never had a bad time, even when busness is slow ... the guys behind the bar are usually in best spirit to get your evening entertainment going.
Their clubroom offers at times great DJs, and nowhere in BRL you'll find that style of music ... see if you like it!
