C’était la première fois dans un hôtel au bout de 15jours de voyage et 6 hôtels que quelqu’un parlait parfaitement anglais on l’a félicité! La chambre au 8eme étage est superbe avec sa vue sur la mer. Le lit très confortable et la salle de bain parfaitement équipée, le tout très propre. Le petit déjeuner continental est très complet, beaucoup de fruits, pain, œufs, yaourts, saucisses et tout un tas de plats coréens aussi. Le parking est juste devant la porte, mais si jamais il n’y avait pas de place car il n’est pas très grand, le voiturier ira stationner la voiture sur un site parking à 1minute à pied et vous la ramène lorsque vous repartez. Je vous conseille vivement cet hôtel, dont le rapport qualité-prix est excellent.

Reviewed By Bee GArriving in Dacheon it was cold & felt deserted, we struggled to find somewhere suitable to eat. Dacheon is seafood lovers heaven but a bit too much for us! Mudrin Hotel has modern comfortable rooms, and the restaurant caters for a slightly more western diet but also has plenty of Korean specialities. The weather warmed up and the whole place grew on us by the day. No pool, the sea is ok but v. cold. It is not cheap!

Reviewed By christianusfrederickIf you plan to visit for boryeong mud festival, I recommend you to stay in this hotel. The facility is quite good. The location is not really far to the main venue of the boryeong mud festival. Moreover, they also served good breakfast.

Basically, this is a family apartment hotel, the room is about 900 square feet, with an open kitchen with all the general cooking and serving utilities. besides the main bed room, there is also a large room for Korean style bedding.

Reviewed By 237andrescJoe one of the managers went out of his way helping us, giving us recommendations on where to eat, writing some phrases in Hangul for us to use in restaurants and showing us kindness. The sea water this time of year was COLD but the overall experience was good. It was interesting that the bathroom was doorless and that the shower and toilet were in the same space, but the glass door was tinted which still gave privacy. I loved the fact that the hotel is right on the beach and that the views were great. The chairs in the balcony were metal chairs and without cushions so it was a little hard in my back. The cafeteria in the hotel opened only on weekends because of COVID-19. The pastries and coffee were good. Overall we recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Reviewed By KIMCHI-LIFEYou're within walking distance to the beach, the room is great for the price, it's only $7 a night for dogs, $10 to use their BBQ services, and the guy at the front desk Mr. Baek is very kind. We'll definitely stay there again.

Overall a very good stay
Reviewed By Chih HWife (and her side of the family) and I spent a night at this hotel during Chuseok (i.e. Korean Thanksgiving). We got a standard double room, which was a good size. The pictures of this room on websites are accurate, as of Sept 2021. The room is basically separated into 3 areas: the bedroom area, a kind of small sunroom, and the bathroom area. The small sunroom is not open-air, and it's not a balcony. It's just a small room that is partitioned off by glass sliding doors, and that has a 2'x4' window that opens quite generously. The room is very clean, given that the hotel is right next to the beach. However, there is paint peeling off of the wall, near the floor, which pulls the room down by a 1/2 bubble, at least. The other detractor is the bathroom area. The sliding door either closes the toilet area, or the shower area, but both of those areas cannot be closed off at the same time. Furthermore, while a person in the bedroom area cannot see anything happening in the bathroom area, there is no solid door blocking off that bathroom area, and so just about any sound made in the bathroom will be heard by those in the bedroom. The location of the hotel, just next to the beach, is really great, and the view out the window of our 9th floor room was really a treat. Breakfast was not included in our rate. In fact, we are pretty sure that breakfast is not offered at all these days, due to covid. There are some places just next door to the hotel where you can rent sport scooters for $14 per 30 minutes. Pretty fun. Overall, even though we paid about $150 all-in for this room during Chuseok, we thought it was worth it. Certainly $75 all-in per night would be a very good price if you're just looking for some beach time during the summer. 4/5 bubbles

Perfect sea view from room, but noise from the beach at night
Reviewed By Katja_nskThis hotel is located at Daecheon beach, actually, as close to the beach as possible, some 10 meters from the sand. This, and the view are the best things about this hotel and main reasons why we chose it. I believe, all rooms have sea view. I just loved to sit on my room balcony and take in the view. Gwanggaeto hotel is in the Northern part of the beach, where most hotels are (as opposed to motels and minbaks). We did not book anything, just walked in there and got a room for 100 000 KRW (were too lazy to bargain, but I guess you can lower it down to 90 000 or even 80 000 KRW). We were offered a room on 7th floor which had a double bed and an attic with stairs where one more person could be slept. The room and bathroom were clean and more or less modern. We had an electric kettle and cups, towels, toothbrushes, shampoos etc., but the fridge in our room was smelly and did not work at first. They repaired it quickly, though. Aircon and TV are also present in the room, but we did not turn on those. We also had a balcony with a small table and 2 chairs. Wi-fi worked fine and free of charge. There is a seafood restaurant in the hotel, and many many seafood restaurants in the vicinity.7/11 and similar convenience shops are also nearby. The main negative point of staying here is that at night people at the beach set off fireworks, and it is very noisy and hard to sleep. Of course, the hotel is not responsible for that, and the same will be experienced in any hotel as close to the beach as Gwanggaeto. But if we stay here again, we will probably have to bring ear plugs.

Trip to the beach
Reviewed By Kasey SThe staff was very helpful, let us use their back room to change and hold out belongings since we arrived earlier then check in time. It was a great location right down the road from the beach. The only bad thing was the beds were hard as a rock woke up in a lot of pain.
