The famous restaurant at Bontang, known for its Merlion statue (Singapore icon). The restaurant located at Tanjung harbor, using the wood, it have wide space. Good seafood with affordable price.
The place looks like it need renovation, some part of the handrail need to fix (the resto use wood and located above sea). The cleanliness also need to be improved. If you wish to go here, bring cash, since they dont have EDC/debit/credit card machine.

The restaurant located at Bontang Kuala, a sea community at Bontang. We need to walk around 10-15 minute to the restaurant on a wooden road, a nice wooden rood using famous local wood (kayu ulin).
It located above sea. You can see PKT (Pupuk Kaltim) flare and the view is sea all over.
The Restaurant is well maintenance, good cleanliness. a good sea food. Recommended restaurant to visit if you're at Bontang.

They offer some menu's choices, from java.
Sate ayam is one of my most favorite. The chunks or slices of dice-sized chicken on bamboo skewers from the midrib of the coconut leaf. These are grilled over charcoal fire. Then serve with peanut sauce. Hmmmm feels the meat....so tender.
We also can order sate kambing -Lamb satay, gule kambing -Indonesian Lamb Curry, tongseng kambing - is kind of curry, however with a taste that is more " sharp".
The place is moderate, like a big runah makan in Indonesia.

They serve fresh seafood. We can choose fish, prawn, lobster (not always available), crab, squid and some stir fried vegetables. Choices of the food can be grilled, deep fried, stir fried with additional taste like sweet sour sauce, soy sauce, sambal gami, sambal tomat.
The place is moderate, homely. The price is rather expensive for budget traveller.
