The capital of Italy’s northernmost region of South Tyrol, Bolzano (Bozen in German) has only been Italian since World War I, and its character remains distinctly Germanic. At the center of the town, Piazza Walther is named for a 13th-century German minstrel. The town’s most famous resident, Ötzi the Iceman, dates from about 3300 BC and now rests at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology. The striking new building for Museion, the city’s modern and contemporary art museum, opened in 2008.

Nightmare experience
Reviewed By JtrashinTiny rooms with no bidet… Rude and poorly trained personnel… Noisy environment… you name it. This hotel does not uphold to any of the standards of the category it is supposed to belong to. I was here on a business trip which started on a saturday. On sunday morning a call from ghe front desk wskes me up suggesting it was time for mr to chevk out. Needless to say, I had four more days on my reservation. Without ever acknowledging their mistake, the staff moves me to a tiny attic with barely enough room to walk which, as a plus, has men at work next door. When asked about the reason of such a downgrade, the staff first lies openly: they claim they spoke to the company I work for and agreed on the downgrade since I prolongued my staying. Of course none of this was true. They then claim I the tiny attic was the room I was supposed to get in the first place, and I got the bigger room only by a lucky chance. The whole situation has been handed poorly and tastelessly. Whether it was the works next door, the incredibly noisy room fridge or a call from the stff themselves, I didn’t manage to get a decent night of sleep during my whole staying. Good central position.

Posizione eccellente, in pieno centro a Bolzano, ma molto silenziosa e riservata. A circa 7 min a piedi dalla stazione. Proprietaria gentilissima, attenta e disponibile ad ogni richiesta. Il plus? La Bolzano card! Che ti permette di usufruire GRATUITAMENTE di tutti i mezzi pubblici, comprese le funivie! E molte altre attrazioni. Consiglio vivamente Wohnzimmer!!!

Underestimated
Reviewed By ΚΙΚΗ ΜI had to do a last minute rrip to Bolzano and we couldn't find available hotels in our budget. When i read the reviews for this hotel i was terrified. Fortunatelly, the situation was rather different. It is a decent 3 star hotel to stay! The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. The only thing that is neccessary to fix is the decoration of the breakfast room. So, all in all if you want to stay in a 5star hotel and pay for 3 star, please don't mislead other people!

Never again!
Reviewed By NahuakCheck-in was an overall bad experience: in booking.com the check-in time was indicated to be 14:00. Waiting there for further indication (access code) we called the indicated number in booking.com and on the door several times, without any answer (not even mailbox!). Then, we suddenly saw the booking.com-message that check-in was at 15:00 at another address in the city (hardly reachable by car, but no info on this). So we went to the city and waited, when then we received an SMS (no hello or dear guest) with the entrance code. We asked back if check-in was now needed or not, which then was confirmed as no need (we thought that they would need at least our names for registration purposes and contact tracing during Covid!). The back and forth and not being able to contact anyone was very annoying. But oh la la.... coming to the room was another experience: there seemed to be a problem with the water drain or pipe system... the smell was nauseous. It was not clean: There were black hair pinned to the hair dryer and the pillow cases had several holes and stains. Also the rest of the linen had stains suggesting that it has probably not been washed at the appropriate temperature / products. The cheap toilet paper being a minor matter, unfortunately lese half a role was left in the room which could lead to uncomfortable situations. The chair and the cupboard had greasy stains. Never very comfortable and welcoming, less in Covid-times. In order to feel a little more comfortable we bought cleaning spray and air spray. For a private matter, we needed to contact the accommodation again. We did so via email, phone calls, SMS and booking.com but an answer was not given within a useful timeframe. From what we can tell, there is no passion put in these appartments and their maintanance, nor attention to detail (which btw can be done with very low investments and/or costs). Very disappointing was then the fact, that papers were hung on the door telling that they are an enthusastic young team and that they would give discounts when giving a good review. So here it goes: dear team, please don‘t ask for good reviews; provide a clean room, put some passion into it, attention to detail and to service and the good reviews come alone.
