The capital of Italy’s northernmost region of South Tyrol, Bolzano (Bozen in German) has only been Italian since World War I, and its character remains distinctly Germanic. At the center of the town, Piazza Walther is named for a 13th-century German minstrel. The town’s most famous resident, Ötzi the Iceman, dates from about 3300 BC and now rests at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology. The striking new building for Museion, the city’s modern and contemporary art museum, opened in 2008.

Bring your own duvet! (and don't expect 'do not distrub' to be respected)

Reviewed By SJK9882WA

If you choose a double room you don't get a double duvet - you get two single 'cot blankets'. If you ask for a double duvet they shout at you - so best bring your own and keep quiet if you want a double duvet lol Interestingly they just entered the room - while the do not distrub was on - 2 people and a dog - said no to more towels and a double duvet - then proceeded to have chat in my room while I was in bed - absurd - then suggested I should leave the hotel when asking for a double duvet for my double room. If you want a crazy faulty towers experience - this could be the place for you - if you expect the basics: hit and miss (quite clean though)

You can tell a hotel by its cover.

The frescoes of the 12 months, in the dining room, are true pieces of art. In addition the staff are 5 star and the food is amazing. With the convenient location it is PERFECT. Nice and comfortable hotel

Reviewed By Sugarplumcici

A modern hotel on the outskirts of Bolzano with a beautiful terrace restaurant, a large swimming pool and one of the best-equipped gyms we've come across. Room is a bit small but well-designed, efficient and clean. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast where you can take your own food - post-Covid many hotels have changed their buffet or scraped it altogether, so this was an exception during our trip. However we found the restaurant staff to be a bit cold and unwelcoming. They seemed more interested to lay out tablecloths than serving guests...every morning we have to wave to get their attention before anybody came to our table. Two negative points - the wifi is very poor no matter where you are or the time of day. I had to resort to using my personal hotspot. Also there's a serious lack of parking space in the garage, it's a mess when you return at night to find cars parked all over the place. We had to park outside for 2 nights.

Clean and nice staff

Reviewed By FranciscaZahra

Very clean and tidy room. Breakfast had a nice selection and was always fresh and good. Staff were always helpful too. The only setback was that the street w/trees to reach bolzano main square was always invaded with small groups of immigrants which make you feel uneasy if passing by alone as they tend to pass comments etc. Hence did not felt 100% safe especially in the evenings/night walking from there. There is another option though, another street between the trees/garden and the hotel which also takes you to bolzano main square..it is Just a little longer but felt much more safe. wish we knew earlier about it As we sttarted using it in the last few days.

Expensive B and B with industrial low quality food

Reviewed By GlobewatcherParis

The B and B is in a modern house in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are small and with no air conditioned can be very hot in summer. You find your keys in a box and there is nobody to provide you with information, help, only in the morning they ask you to pay for the local tax. The breakfast has to be taken in the room. Do not expect local bread or local food, what is supplied in the room is international industry food under plastic bags and sandwich loaf There are much better places to stay in downtown Bolzano
