A Place to enjoy a meal at one of the most beautiful places in flora and fauna in Costa Rica in the Refugio Caño Negro
I had the local fish served whole. It was delicious. More importantly the beer was ICE cold. The atmosphere, well its a huge room for a few people but it was clean and friendly.

Good pizza and excellent service. Unfortunately it sits right off of the highway 6, so the noise can be annoying.

Clean and colorful place on the main street of Bijagua with friendly servers and really good Tico food. My dinner plate had tender seasoned chicken breast, rice, black beans, plantains, a remarkable and flavorful hearts of palm dish, and fresh salad. I think this cook has a nice command of spices, and I recommend these tico plates as delicious and reasonable at only about $8. If you want a burger and fries they have that, too.

Stayed at an amazing nearby B&B and grabbed a late night meal here. It was very good food. Lots of interesting unique corn based dishes. We thought it was good food and had a nice local Costa Rica flare. Got a bit windy with the open front but we enjoyed the music and watching them prepare some small fried cord meal cakes. The chicken Quesadilla was very good and they had some nice Deserts. Have to give 5 because nothing was wrong with this nice family run road side place.

Restaurant and Bar situated in the beautiful surroundings of the Finca Agroecologica in Bijagua, northern Costa Rica. Offering a wide selection of home-made dishes using local and organic home-grown ingredients. Open from 12pm until 11pm tuesday-sunday.
We stopped here for an early lunch. Great setting and friendly staff. The shrimp salad with avocado was delicious, and presented so nicely! Fantastic coffee as well (like most places in Costa Rica of course). On our way out one of the staff even pointed out a sloth up in the trees for us :)

The food is good and service is friendly. We have never waited long for food here either. The empanadas are amazing.

The design on wood highlights the rustic stile of the restaurant, giving also an elegant style. We offer a wide menu which includes typical dishes, salads, pastas, meats and home specialties . You can enjoy smoked meats and fish but also firewood food , dishes that must be requested in advance. Most of the products served at your table are self-produced . Visit us and enjoy quality products and fresh , your food is prepared just after you order it.
The Italian restaurant was amazing, so weird to find such great cooking in such a wildlife. Ask for the pasta, we highly recommend it. The breakfast was great too, ask the waiter to make you some homemade fruit juice, we forgot what it was of but it was unique and great.

We had just flown into Liberia and were driving north to our Lodge and looking for a nice place to stop and get a snack. We happened across Manti and not only is it pretty and clean from the outside, it is pretty and immaculately clean on the inside.
The owner, Ronald Guerrero came over and recommended several dishes. We ordered a variety of local dishes based on those recommendations and shared amongst 6 of us. A few minutes later, someone entered with a bag full of fresh herbs & vegetables from the garden and says we are preparing this for you.
OMG, the food was insanely delicious and prepared to perfection. Everything was so fresh and the service was fantastic and friendly. We've been to CR many times and the meal we had at Manti is in the top 5. Our kids and grandkids never stopped talking about this meal the entire trip. Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed.

Restaurant and seafood PORO He gives you a special welcome and offers you his excellent Menu. It also invites you to observe the exuberant scenic beauty of the Miravalles Volcano. Enjoy this heavenly place in our facilities. Thinking of your comfort we have for you. Happy journey
Having just reviewed Las Tinastes, let me say that if I wanted a quick meal I'd head to Las Tinastes but if I wanted slightly higher quality food then I'd head to Poro. We ate here as a family with two Nicaraguan friends and everyone was able to find something that they wanted to eat and happy with their meal. We were especially happy with the fish dishes, but avoid the Arroz Cantonese unless you think of sliced hot dogs as part of a Cantonese.
