I stopped in to Idyllium on a cold, windy night in Pienza. What a great spot! Great drinks, and super kind service. Stylish, fun, good music, great drinks. I'll be back next time I am in Pienza!

We were looking for a place for lunch that was a little different. This place fit the bill. We sat at a sunny table outside and had the fondue (melted pecorino with truffle oil--amazing!), a crostini and a plate of vegetables. A couple of glasses of Brunello di Montalcino and we had a delightful meal. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. The food was prepared fresh and with care. There are vegan selections available.

Awesome view from this small, delicious wine bar/restaurant at the entry to Monticchiello town. It was a very cold spring day and we were tired from our travels so the Ribollita soup and beef stew were warm and just what we needed. La Guardiola has a great wine selection, you can even purchase bottles and take out, which we did. Great spot to enjoy a lovely light meal and the gelato is to die for.

Try the chicken and grilled veggies. Delicious!! It wasn't crowded and parking was easy. Friendly staff, too. Nice place to go when you don't feel like fighting the crowds or parking of the city center.

We had a dinner there during our trip to Tuscany and we were not disappointed at all! Great variety of food and of premium quality. We recommend trying the "pici" (hand made spaghetti) with the sauce you prefer, a speciality of the area. The menu is also available in English and many pictures help you in the choice of the courses. We shared a second course, just not to miss the experience.Dessert is a must: the chocolate covered tiramisu is special, give it a try! CAREFUL: it's very hard to get there without a GPS. Since it's on the top of a hill (the view is breathtaking!) you will pass through small towns and some parts of the road are dirt patch. You will eventually reach a parking and continue walking for five minutes... But it's worth it!Nice and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommended for a romantic and typical dinner!

We had an excellent lunch and amazing wine. Every plate was well presented and super tasty. The cold cuts were delicious! We ended up buying tons of food afterwards at their shop. The girl that served us at the shop, was also the one that prepared our cold cuts, was super friendly and nice. We enjoyed talking to her as she explained us the difference of the different type of meats, their origin and knew what to recommend us. This place was near where we were staying. We thought all of the staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was very good. There werenât very many people there but we did get there right towards when it opened, and we know Italians eat later than Americans.

This is our favorite bar in Montepulciano. The decor is gorgeous and the background music is perfection. The panoramic views and the outdoor sitting blend perfectly together. They have a great selection of wines and the food menu is great too! Quick, friendly and professional service. We really enjoyed our visit. We try to come here whenever weâre in Italy always worth the drive. Luca (the owner) is a bit serious but always gives you a warm welcome. Definitely recommend this place!

Went with the waiter's recommendation of the Penelope sandwhich (which I ordered) and Pappardelle Cinghiale (which my husband ordered). Both dishes were exceptional!! The service was very good as well! Highly recommend!!
