I didn't like the food the 1st time we went here (had duck & clams) but the service was very good and the place is very elegant, the 2nd time I had sushi which was good.

Restaurant YouKay is in the heart of the Historic District and the Calle Constitucion pedestrian zone, a few meters north of its intersection with Serdan. If you want clean, healthy eating with lots of tasty protein and vegetables in an Asian style, you will be happy here. Chef Oscar's restaurant is modern and tasteful, with a friendly, professional staff, a versatile menu, and a full bar. Try their martinis! You see the shiny Mongolian grill when you enter, and it is great fun to order a Mongolian-grilled dish and watch your meal being cooked to your personal specification. A variety of sushi rolls are offered, as well as Chinese and other Asian specialties. Chef Oscar makes a trio of his own special sauce blends for the table, to suit every taste and every dish. We spent only 4 days in Durango and we enjoyed You Kay so much we had dinner there twice. We would recommend You Kay to anyone.

If you're looking for real, authentic Japanese cuisine, then you probably shouldn't be in Mexico looking for it. The menu has things like pad thai, sushi rolls baked in the oven, etc. I ordered the pad thai--because I really wanted noodles and I didn't want the teriyaki noodles. I knew not to expect pad thai--but even so, it was simply not a good-tasting dish. We also ordered some fried rice--which was okay. And this fried chicken--basically like breaded chicken tenders. The fried chicken was very tasty--and I noticed that several other tables had ordered it as well. We also ordered a sushi roll with shrimp in it--and it was pretty terrible. Not to mention that we had to ask for wasabi multiple times before we got it.Despite this, the restaurant was quite busy. Maybe it's popular because it has beautiful decor. Or maybe because it is different from the Mexican food that is ubiquitous in Durango. Whatever the reason, it was on the more expensive side. So, I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are really craving something different.

el restaurante es pequeño con un buen decorado de arte y luz que ambienta el lugar de manera que se genera un ambiente cómodo y cálido para comer. Hay buena música, solo falta que vendan chelas!
