After a long day of walking up to the Castello and then down to the beach, it was a real pleasure to find this super-comfortable deli. There were several draft beers to choose from, the "spada pesce" sandwich excellent, and the setting a few feet from the water with a view of Sicily spectacular.

We are staying in the Grand Excelsior and decided to come here to eat because it was convenient. To be honest, we were not expecting much and we were blown away!We had the Insalata Excelsior and the Beef Carpaccio, both of which were phenomenal. My boyfriend and I also shared the only non-seafood pasta on the menu and it was AMAZING! We had so many combinations of flavored that we have never experienced before. The gentleman that appears to manage the restaurant is a true professional. He takes his position very seriously, ensuring everything on the tables is placed correctly and straight, from the silverware to the oil and vinegar. He also took the time to pour our wine between two glasses multiple times to allow us to taste the wine open. Extremely impressed. We had the red wine - locally made, Librandi Ciro and it was fantastic. By far, one of the top 3 wines we tried on our trip. Overall, beyond impressed. This is truly a fine dining establishment in the most unsuspecting place!

Nice food and prices. Terrible service from members of the staff who don't speak a word of English and are aggressive and ignorant the same time (easy to be spotted, I don't want to point out). Also, the platform that has been positioned for those who wish to eat outside is located on the road with result the passing and parking of the cars to cause frustration and annoyance.

Fratelli la Bufala is in a side street, just off the sea-front. I went with a large group of friends so we had to book, but it's better to book anyway especially if you go at the weekend. It is a city-centre restaurant so there isn't a car park, but on-street parking is available. The menu offers a wide range of dishes, including pizza, pasta, meat and gnocco fritto: a kind of fried bread. The ingredients are fresh, and the food is tasty.The staff is friendly but the service is slow above all at busy times.It isn't the cheapest place to eat but considering the quality of the food and its excellent position, you can't complain. I have eaten there several times and no doubt I'll eat there again in the future.

Few days ago I've been there for dinner with 3 other people. When the owner came to get the order I specified that I'm cow's milk and eggs allercig even if it's a fish restaurant. He guaranteed me that he was going to be careful and noticing the chef! When my plate has arrived I found out that they didn't care too much about my allergy as there was a prawns cocktail made with Mayo (so with eggs in it). I've sent it back asking to be more careful. They brought me a new plate with some "frittelle" which I did eat and straight away I understood that there was some cheese inside! Again!!! I've complained with the owner but he didn't even apologise...he just reassured me saying that not to worry as there was not too much cheese in it "just a little bit"!!! Unfortunately that little bit was enough to make me sick! I've been waiting for a night out with my partner for ages after my three months old baby was born and that night is been destroyed by the neglect of the owner and waiters. Very bad service, very bad attitude! Will Never go back there!

We had a very tasty meal and i definitely recommend it for fresh fishAs starter we had the raw fish selection which was exquisite and surprisingly large portion!As main dish we got a grilled dentice which was very fresh! The service was very good, the entire fresh fish selection was presented to us so that we can choose and before both courses we were offered a selection of breads which were warm and freshly madeThe cutlery and the table decoration was unique, overall we liked it a lot!Gentile Sig.ra Joanita la ringrazio per la sua recensione alla mia Degusteria con il massimo punteggio. Come lei ha scritto chi ama il pesce fresco non puo' non passare a visitare la mia Degusteria che offre solo pesce rigorosamente freschissimo ed in mostra al vassoio a tutti i nostri ospiti. Sono contento che anche a lei siano piaciuti molto i nostri piatti e spero possa tornare ancora a trovarci. Alla prossima...
