I speak little Spanish but the employees were friendly and patient. I had the mariscos dinner (many mixed seafoods) and the coconut flan. It was flat out the best meal I have had in Costa Rica and I have been here three times. It is fancier than most of the sodas in the city but the prices are so much lower than you would get in the states. iThey also have a full bar. I arrived for my dinner at 4:30 and I was the only customer there at that time. I have heard they are busy late in the evening. I am definitely returning soon.

Mario was an excellent host and made our family feel very welcome. The pizza was huge and tasty. We had the Hawaiian, meat lovers, and pepperoni (there was six of us)! I'm not in San Isidro often, but I'd go back in a flash!

I've eaten here several times during recent visits to San Isidro and enjoy the Costa Rican menu. It is a simple, open-air place that you might miss if you blink at the wrong time, but there always seem to be diners. They leave out foods that appeal to birds (bananas, mainly), which attracts a good variety. A small birding group from the states stopped there for lunch while we were there, and they were quite excited at what they saw.

Had business to do in Perez Zeledon so stop here for lunch. Service was very good since we where the only clients. Try a chifrijo and my wife had a chicken salad. We where very happy with the food and price was right. Would go again..

We found this quaint little spot last summer - really enjoy sitting on the corner. With no window or screen it's a given that you will be interacting with the locals. Many choice moments, wouldn't change a thing. This year we ate two breakfasts here (one of the only places open on New Years day) and they were both good and inexpensive. The staff are sweet and eager to please...we'll be back. Highly recommended!

Tidy two story high bar with a balcony that looks out over the central park. Has plenty of good food options next to the cocktail menu. Correct and professional staff, making sure you don't have to wait. There is music playing but luckily not too loud (which is the case in many comparable places in town).

We ended up on the terrace of this restaurant with hungry children and even if the service was painfully long (you're in Costa Rica after all) and the terrace full of smoking expats (we are not used to cigarette smoke smell while eating any more in Canada...), the food was incredibly cheap and delicious. Try the Taco doble with French fries. Really good. The burgers were pretty good too... and HUGE! The 5 of us ate for less that $18 and we left with some leftovers! Obviously, you don't go there for the athmosphere, but it is perfect for lunch!

We eat often at Casa del Marisco because we have a home nearby. It is our "go to" place for everything from 4 choices of made-today ceviche to a heaping plate of seafood rice. This is the place the locals choose. We also often buy take out - seafood soup - enough to serve four is a bargain.

We have eaten here several times for both lunch and dinner, most recently while staying at Bosque del Tolomuco nearby. The food is consistently good and priced reasonably. We especially recommend the arroz de la casa - a seasoned vegetarian version of arroz con pollo with heart of palm. The view off the patio if wonderful, if you're there for breakfast or lunch.

I went there with a couple of friends, the first impression was the PERFECT customer service received by a lovely sweet young lady. We ordered a pizza, and it was extremely good, tasty..it was just perfect! The coffee was just regular, Im sure they can improve the coffee quality. We experienced an incident with a sweet corn that we ordered, we found a hair in it. However, it could happen at any place, the difference is how the place react and resolve it. In this case, they apologized inmediately and offered to change it or order another thing.We really enjoyed the service, the food, and we were happy in the way that they resolved the incident.Place with nice music, very calm environment, they have a front yard as a parking lot, wifi, clean bathrooms.
