Il Cucco is situated in San Bartolome, 4 km away from Final Marina. The view from there is amazing. The restaurant is very busy, mostly Italian guests, make a reservation well ahead, especially if you go there on weekends. All food was great, they serve a wide variety of fish-/meat-dishes and great desserts. Staff was very friendly and funny, even they had a lot of work the evening we were there. At least one or two waiters speak English quite good and they help you with the Italian menu. Donât miss this place.

I can't say enough about how much I've loved my experiences here, and I've gone there everyday of my vacation!!! Every single bite that I've had here has been absolutely delicious. From the luxurious lasagne al pesto, to the spaghetti con frutti di mare or the fresh swordfish Livornese.. The flavors are authentic and expertly prepared by people that are knowledgeable and friendly.. Also, the owner not only knows his food, but is there to help with choosing the perfect wine for your meal.. If you are in Finale Ligure and are looking for great food, this is the place.. I'm going back tomorrow!!

Atmosphere looked initially inviting but reception was not. The menu was entirely in Italian and handwritten. I speak Italian but wanted my husband to have detailed explanations. The result was curt, with the staff uninterested in our dilemma. The staff catared specifically to the locals who all arrived at 7:30 along with ourselves. This place was recommended by our B&B hosts so we anticipated some patience, help, and warmth as most Italian restaurants offer. Instead we felt pressed to order the first thing we understood.My husbands meal was OK , mine was fair to good. We were out of there in 40 minutes for over $75 US with no dessert or coffee. I would not recommend this restaurant. They just didn't care.

You go there for the view basically. The food is good but overpriced. The fritto misto was good but again: expensive. 20 euros for a sole "meunière" and you add an extra 8 euros for a contorno (a side dish: I had the grilled vegetables). The sole was not meunière at all. "Meunière" means: fried in butter and served with the resulting brown butter sauce and lemon. None of that sauce was on the plate (see picture).Not a fan of restaurants that think that they are "gastronomique" and they don't deliver...
