Stopped here for lunch as it was one of the town's more happening places.Interior is fairly grand and there is a pleasant little courtyard in the back where we sat.Good range of menu choices including pizzas. My husband had some grilled vegetables with mozzarella, which he said was ok, but it arrived quite a bit before my food.My pizza was very good.Unfortunately, the staff weren't very welcoming and then were rather indifferent for the rest of of the meal.

We walked there from Innerfeld and we had to go back by cable car because of the storming weather. Location is very beautiful but the place is more similar to a huge fast food than to a typical mountain restaurant. The outdoor service is only for drinks, coffee and cake. Restaurant is a self service with poor offer and poor quality. Food was very miserable. Sausages and potatoes salad were like in motorway/airport mediocre restaurants as well as an escalope with onion sauce and kraut salad. Service was absent and when a large sun umbrella (about 260 sq.ft ) was blowed by the wind none of the staff was ready to help guests. It's not expensive but I would prefer to pay more and to be delivered proper food and service. There are many other better places around. We do not recommend.

We found this place during the low season when many places in the region are closed. And we were initially concerned by the word "pizzeria": pizza is certainly not a local tradition and in many cases, in Italy, is a bad signal. But we were pleasantly suprised. First, the service was excellent. Second, the local dishes were really good. Third, the location is right on the Dovbbiaco lake, so the view is spectacular. Overall,a very nice and unexpected experience.

Italian friends one of whom is a chef recommended this restaurant. How right they were. The food was excellent as was the service. We live in Italy so will definitely return. When the young lady waitress was taking our dessert orders the owner(I think) leant over and said to my husband the mirtilli have just been freshly picked. I chose them with ice cream and they were delicious. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and all seemed to enjoy their work rather than simply work.

Do you want to have dinner in the place where Gustav Mahler spent several summer holidays a hundred years ago, and composed The Song to the Earth and other music? And maybe visit what was his guest room upstairs, with his piano? Go no further that the Gustav Mahler Stube. In the German speaking Sud Tirol area of Northern Italy, on a lovely slope just off the main road, it might be difficult to find - but it's worth the effort. The restaurant is family- run and service kind, warm and professional; the menu offers typical local dishes and none will disappoint you. Fantastic food, low price, good choice of local wines. And the extra touch of Mahler's ghost, always present.

After a lovely walk around the Lago di Landro, or Durrensee, and through the surrounding foothills, all we really wanted was an ice-cream and a drink. That was a shame, as they have quite an extensive and varied menu, and although it was only mid-afternoon on a weekday, many other customers seemed to be really appreciating their meals and snacks.Anyway, assisted by a friendly and helpful waitress, we all enjoyed our generously-proportioned ice-creams, and went on our way.

The only reason you will know abou this incredible restaurant if you know some local people who live in South Tyrol. The restaurant is set high up in the mountains with spectacle views to look at while you feast on some local, traditional, fresh, exciting and appetizing food. The staff speak English and will help you translate the German/Italian menus. I had the tartar which was just heavenly. They made it in front of you mixing the egg and species and meat into one glorious dish. There was allot of food on our plates and we left feeling very full indeed. The south tyrolian menu is heavy with lots of meat and sauces so don't go overboard in ordering starters and main course. Everything is fresh! Locally sourced and just so delicious. It is a must to eat here but absolutely make a reservation and this place fills up fast.
