Amazingly fresh sea food.Every year I cannot resist to stop at this restaurant for one of the freshest seafood I have ever tasted in all the continents I have visited. Simple cuisine,fresh spices and erbs, seafood almost alive and on display for you right at the entrance where the owner is always there to help you. The service is great and the view even greater. The grilled fish is my favourite, with little olive oil, oregano and parsley. Simply great. Make sure you have seafood pasta as well and some Calabrian wines. I could eat here every day.

Went to this restaraunt with my cousins and Aunt and Uncle who live in Siderno.My cousins Fiance set it up.Amazing, fresh seafood.Gorgeous scallops in thir shells, fresh tuna carpaccio, fresh Sword fish. BEAUTIFUL OLD RESTAURANT. APPEARS TO BE OLD BARN OR STABLE. GOID ENTERTAINMENT WITH ACCORDIAN. WAS JUST A MAGICAL NITE WITH FAMILY FROM STATES AND FROM SIDERNO, DON'T MISS IT!!!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of travelling to Italy from Toronto, Canada, to attend a family wedding. The festivities took place on May 19, 2018 at the gorgeous âSabbia D'oro Hotelâ in Marina Di Gioiosa Ionica. This was a wonderful experience, Sabbia Dâoro hotel is truly an architectural master piece, strategically located right by the beach with a breathtaking ocean view. The food was truly delicious, the service outstanding, and the staff friendly and very professional. We also had an opportunity to have a great breakfast and an amazing fish lunch at the Hotelâs restaurant. This family run business deserves a 10 + in every aspect. We strongly recommend it to anyone; this is definitely a gorgeous place to visit and to hold family functions and for couples to celebrate their wedding. We look forward to going back in the near future. Keep up the EXCELLENT work Sabbia Dâoro! Vince Toronto

Sono venuta a conoscenza di questo ristorante tramite amici del posto. Locale accogliente e familiare, personale preparato e simpatico. Abbiamo preso un piatto tipico, gli spaghetti alla corte d'Assise, BUONISSIMI e SUPER ABBONDANTI!!! Così Abbondanti che non abbiamo mangiato altro!!! Ma torneremo a provare le altre specialità !!! CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!!

The location of this place is simply stunning, situated in high hillside farming land offers views for miles around. The place offers individual cooking all made from the owners own land. The bread is made from his own wheat, the wine he makes, the olives he grows, I could go on endlessly.He offers a fixed price dining menu that will leave you astounded, as much as you can eat and drink the endless copious wine.As it's difficult to find if you staying in Gioiosa you can telephone for a pick up service so you don't have to worry about driving around twisting lanes.You can visit just for day time lunch and enjoy the spectacular views. Oh yes, also produces his own olive oil which is gorgeous tasting. Highly recommend taking time out to visit and eat here.

A great location on sea front offering numerous styles of pizza, sea food was especially good and service good. Well worth a visit as the location is super and quality of pizza is awesome. Evening entertainment of music in background so choose well where you want to sit if you don't like karaoke.Special beers also supplied.

Was recommended to try this restaurant so thought it be worth a visit. Location is just outside of Gioiosa towards Roccella, nice setting and plenty of garden space, well decorated and professional looking set up. Staff pleasant enough and service was adequate. Ordered the risotto which to my liking was slightly stodgy and one clump! Starter was fine as just meats and cheese board.The steak was ok but could have been trimmed better to remove excess fat and the fatty bits as it was ordered rare - medium the fat was not properly cooked off. Tried the recommended wine which was not all that but drinkable. In all bit pricey and not as good as was expected as the rave reviews did not match up. In all fairly mediocre but pleasant enough... stick to the basic menu and donât worry about the over rated menu

It was almost by accident that we came across this delightful restaurant in the main street. There was an English / Italian menu on the front wall and after looking it over we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. We were met by the owner, welcomed warmly and seated at our table. We were immediately impressed by the modern, clean and tasteful furnishings and decor, and, the unobtrusive pleasant background music. The menu was extensive enough to satisfy most tastes and the prices very reasonable. Our food came in good time, was hot and delicious. It was probably the best meal we have had since arriving in this area 3 weeks ago. This restaurant is new and deserves many more customers. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. We have have visited here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The reinvented dishes of the region's "cucina tipica" are superb. Fresh, local seafood prepared in a variety of ways - raw, steamed, baked, etc. - is always excellent. The traditional, refined, and upscale surroundings added to our experience. The owner and wait staff are warm, welcoming, and always professional. Whenever we visit the Ionian coast of Calabria, a visit to Gambero Rosso is an absolute must!
