Cremona [kreˈmoːna] listen (help·info) (Emilian: Carmona, Lombard: Cremùna) is a city and comune in northern Italy, situated in Lombardy, on the left bank of the Po River in the middle of the Pianura Padana (Po Valley). It is the capital of the province of Cremona and the seat of the local city and province governments. The city of Cremona is especially noted for its musical history and traditions, including some of the earliest and most renowned luthiers, such as Giuseppe Guarneri, Antonio Stradivari, and several members of the Amati family.

This place is probably at its best in spring - summer because they probably have tables outside and more green around.Being January we had to pass through a coffee bar with some tables where people were eating and others drinking. Once we got to the restaurant room it was quite pleasant. The service was quick but no written menu - the waiter "told" us what they were offering that day. There was a good choice: their specialty is fish but no problem if you prefer meat. Very nice desserts! The dishes were nicely composed with sizeable portions and the food good.The price is not what you can call economic but fair if you consider the variety and quality.There isn't a private parking but there's no problem to find space in the surrounding area.

This review is mostly for NON Italian speakers, as our biggest problem with this restaurant was the rather unfriendly and uninterested staff who speaks NO OTHER LANGUAGE than ITALIAN.So if you are not a native Italian you can almost forget to get food served there.The other problem with this restaurant is the confusing and very difficult to read menu. It is of course only in Italian language but even then they need to use some Japanese words at least so this could help a little bit if the menu would have a readable font and a structure that can be understood. In order to get anything served I wanted to order a set-menu (it is on page 3) but it took me just about 10 minutes just to find the place where you can order some Nigiri sushi + shashimi..These rather daunting problems aside, the restaurant looks quite posh and elegant, and to give this place SOME credit - the quality of the fish is good, the sushi rice is top and the Udon noddle soup was very good, alongside the Miso soup.The staff was not lacked some interest to serve customers or to help, but they also appeared a bit confused, not finding our bill (needed 2 people to search their computer) and they served the soup for my wife more or less after I had finished my Sushi.We left with very mixed feelings - good food but rather terrible service.

The restaurant became big, now you got more space available for more people.Great place and atmosphere. Food is like before, so nice with plants of dishes including also fusion: Thai, cinese and Asian.Of course, the Japanese remaining.Service could be better even Gianni the owner is a very nice guy and is certifying the high quality of this restaurant.Thanks for the review

I had the pleasure to have a wonderful dinner in this Cousy and elegant restaurant in the heart of cremona! The organization of the meeting meant also to be involved in making the pasta in the afternoon together with the chef: amazing experience!

Just finished dinner at La Sostra, and we were not very impressed. The restaurant was not busy, but we were generally ignored, especially by the boss.The food was OK, but not at all on par with the ratings. We are in Italy many times a year, and would rate this restaurant avarage at best.

We experienced a very good outside dinner on the porch. Very good service and a good choice of tasty food and wines. It was a very quiet place, may be because the prices are on the high side.

The Torriani restaurant was unfortunately (for us) completely booked during our stay. It seems to be a very favourite place for people with good taste. We enjoyed the suite in the upper floor which was large, modern, had a huge, modern TV set with even international channels. Breakfast was ok. The view from the courtyard of the hotel towards the Torazzo (high tower of the church) was spectacular. Restaurant "La Botte" in a parallel street came to our rescue. It was good.

Basics: rice, very good. Good sushi rice, well prepared.Fish: good, fresh. No funny smell or such, and they don't abuse on soy sauce.Wasabi: cheap quality.Pickled ginger: cheap quality.Service: TOP. Very friendly and professional. We ordered a lot and the course were served in the correct order.Tempura was not well cooked, a bit under.Tori karaage was not authentic (it wasn't marinated).Price: good.We will try also the delivery.Suggestion: remove the fried noodles from the garnish in the dishes.
