Visited for dinner after dropping daughter at uni. Large airy restaurant with nice decor. Bit chilly under aircon. Starters prompt and tasty but downhill after that as we had to wait over half an hour for mains. Vegan fish and chips was a slab of tasteless tofu . For the price I would have expected homemade chips but they weren't. Partners hake and risotto was dry as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Daughters said their burger and fish and chips were good though.Asked for the bill and waited about 15 mins after receiving it to pay. We eventually got up and just had to go looking for someone.Overall overpriced for what you get. Don't think we will be returning.Hi GlasgowBoBo, Thanks for you review of The Saint. I am so sorry for the service and food and service you received. Its so far from the service we aim to deliver. I have passed your comments onto the kitchen and management team to ensure this is an isolated incident. I understand that you may not want to come back. However if this changes please email me on [email protected] Kind regards, Laura

After that the husband ordered a goat cheese and beet root salad while I had the pomegranate chickpea salad. Both were delicious and service was excellent.

Stopped in for lunch with my family while on a tour...and enjoyed a great experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the beers on tap were exceptional and the food delightful. The food was both fresh and local, which we always find pleasing. I thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly cooked lamb burger adorned with strips of cheese...along with a side salad. My wife enjoyed the savory Mac & Cheese with bacon...and my daughter favored the Avo (avocado-based) sandwich.

Took my golf mad family here for lunch and sat outside watching the golf. I ordered the pea risotto which I couldn't eat as it was a thick stodgy consistency similar to mushy peas. Thankfully the waitress didn't charge me for it. Everyone else's lunches were fine but I think they are playing on their location as the food could definitely have been better.

Not much into bars to be honest but needed a decent hot meal and the place came highly recommended. The bar was so friendly and welcoming. The music played was just how I like it. The food? OMG! I had THE pie. It too was amazing and delicious! It felt like I had just walked into the ‘Cheers’ bar, ‘where everyone knows your name’. I went back the following day for another meal and drink and found the same atmosphere. There’s a bit of me, that now I’m back home wishes it was my local bar but to be honest, if it was you wouldn’t see me out of it!Hi witchingsabrinaGreat name! The Sunday lunch here is crafted to perfection, and thankfully you are only given one meat choice for the roast - that way you’re focused; and they can deliver the perfect meal. Two thick slices of pink bloody sirloin beef done just right, along with perfect roast potato, medium sized pud, honeyed carrot and magnificent gravy. Everything is nice and clean...the staff cheerful and helpful and adaptable. Impressive meal. Huge thanks.
