Domenica di passaggio a Luino ci siamo fermati qui per un aperitivo. Questo bar si trova sul lungo lago in posizione defilata rispetto al centro ma in riva al lago. Location ottima, servizio gentile, aperitivo scarso e prezzo normale. Suggeriamo di abbinare stuzzichini di migliore qualità .

RESTAURANT-PIZZERIA AVAV from Tony. Pizzas every night after 6.00 pm, on Wednesdays also for lunch. Meat and fish specialties. New management, renovated room. Availability of eating on the terrace overlooking the lake or inside the room.

Enjoyed a superb afternoon with lobster and white wine at the terrace of AVAV. Great food, very friendly staff! Grazie mille!!

Went here for a coffee after getting off the bus. Cheap and good coffee and staff pleasant.It did say Wi-fi on window but when we asked ,the waitress didn't seem to know.A minor point really and still worth going for drinks

A nice location by the harbour in Luina. Fine for drinks but skip the food. Ordered a "chicken breast sandwich" which turned out to be a chicken nugget sub, to put it kindly. The "chicken" was simply inedible: two pieces of previously frozen, breadcrumb coated, meat/? substance, conveniently shaped to fit in a bread sub. It's been a while since i have seen anything so unappetising. I asked the waitress, who was quite friendly and helpful, to take the chicken nugget things away and bring some cheese instead to fill the sandwich. She returned with three slices of processed cheese on a plate. Aw well... my advice is to have an Aperol Spritz there, enjoy the view, then go somewhere else to eat. Ps. There was also no loo roll in the ladies toilet.

We went to the restaurant last night with four guys for dinner and were overall really disappointed. It was not like in recent years. The service was friendly but the food quality in terms of taste was bad and really far from their rather high price-level. We had Tapas for starters: Fried Gambas, pimientos, a small cheese platter, fried calamary, Spaghetti Alio olio, potatoes and chicken. The fried dishes really tasted like nothing except fat, the chicken was dry and untasty (like they bought it from a supermarket fridge and warmed it up), the fried Gambas lost the taste from frying but since they fried it with skin, you had to peal off the fried skin and were left with no taste. The cheese was okay but sort of a weird combination. So we ordered a save thing, cheeseburgers for main course. The burgers were just regular bread with rather greezy chewy meat and cheese, no tomato, no onion, nothing else on it and a hand full of fries. Overall we paid 150 Euros which makes 37,5 Euros per Person. In conclusion, it used to be great there in the past years, but this time it was bad and the food does not justify the price-level any more. Hope you can step it up again!!! We had dinner here late on a summers night,on a cobblestone street. The food was amazing, best food during our stay in Italy so far. The food was also beautifully presented. Staff very obliging and friendly. We hope we have time to enjoy another meal here during our vacation.
