I have been to this pub 4 times now and the food has been great every time. Reasonably priced, not too long a wait, looks good, hot and very tasty. It looks home cooked and the puddings are lovely. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Went with my mum in law for mothers day she is in a wheelchair and the facilities were very good for her. Really nice atmosphere and friendly, well worth a try.

Great meal here with friends last night. The pub was warm and friendly on a very dark and windy night. The bar was cheerfully full of locals enjoying a pint with the friends in front of the log fire, well-behaved dogs at their feet. The restaurant was busy but we got great service from Dan and Ashleigh. The fish and chips deal was excellent value (especially as it came with mushy peas), was nicely presented and tasted great. When we stepped outside the incoming tide sea was lapping the footpath, so we really felt we were right on the coast. We will certainly put the Royal Oak on our list of pubs to come back to.

The other 2 had salads with various fish and these were huge and much enjoyed. by 13:00 all of the tables were full and I can understand why. We will visit again. Excellent.
