I found Castellum Vetus Vinaria by pure coincidence since I love to cycle through the county of Teramo including Casoli, which belongs to the city of Atri. What a find! Turns out that the owner and pizzaiolo Simone Pomante just won 3rd place in the World Pizza Contest in Rimini (Emilia Romagna, Italy) early 2015. However not only his pizzas are excellent and very creatively composed, but also the home made pasta or the antipasti are a dream! We had home made ravioli with a ricotta filling and fresh tomato sauce. The serving for two had been plenty so that we were only able to share a pizza together: "Borgo Nuovo" with bacon, Gorgonzola cheese, tartufo, mozzarella and a sunny side up egg in the middle. Delicious!! Last time we had the pizza Simone won his 3rd place with: Pizza Del Casale Patate with potato, pecorino cheese from Farindola (Abruzzo), sausage and scamorza (air dried mozzarella cheese). To die for... :-)Simone, his mother and his staff are very courteous and it is a pleasure to visit them every time!

Tried an alternative for pizza in the area. Pizza al metro makes the experience different. Pizza is good but have had much better elsewhere in Roseto.

A place to eat pizza metres away from our accommodation in Roseto. The place is convenient and the pizza very tasty. I have not tried other dishes mainly because I fancy a good pizza when I come here. There will be definitely other occasions. Coming from London where a good pizza is hard to find sometimes, I really find the pizza here delicious with a tin and crusty base and delicious fillings, perfect with nice cold beer.

We Arrived late in Roseto Degli Abruzzi, found this place was open and went in.A queue of people waiting intrigued me, so we found ourselves eating real pizza with crispy bottom, just the right size, with really tasty toppings. All made/prepared in front of us, they have an English menu, if you needed one; they sell beer and other drinks.I enjoyed this pizza as the others in the party enjoy theirs as well, really nice, well worth a visit, would go back there and eat any one of the selections available and not worry I was going to get a bad taste.

We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst walking along the beach, we have been to this area many times so know most of the hot spots yet had never been here.The staff were extremely welcoming, big smiles on their faces and more than happy to help.The starters arrived quickly and tasted delicious, however our pizza took around 25 minutes with dirty dishes left on our table.I can say the pizza and starter were both very tasty, and would come again, however I would advise to book as when we arrived there were no tables outside and it was extremely humid indoorsWe could not believe the price of the food it was very cheap and we can only thank the staff for such a lovely expierence.

The menu offers Lots of pizza selections, nothing fancy, but just good Dow to the earth meal and services! The food is delicious, generous portions and good price. Will definitely recommend.
