The food was not great - a salad tasted like it had been made from tinned tuna rather than fresh food. Service was very slow and then the waiter arrived with the wrong number of drinks. Its a beautiful building with frescoes on the outside, well located near the market but avoid.

We were glad that we followed the other reviewers and stopped for dinner here. It was just what we were looking for: casual, inexpensive, and quite tasty. The roasted meat (I can not remember which "bratten" it was) and potatoes were excellent; tender meat, full flavored sauce, and plenty of thin sliced roasted potatoes. The turkey salad was tasty too; large portioned. With a bottle of water the bill totaled 27â¬; plenty of good food for the money. We did our best to navigate the Italian/German menu; an English speaking waiter was most helpful.

Excellent pizze and pasta dishes. Great views of Dolomites. 10km from Bolzano up winding mountain roads. Great value for money. Slightly disappointed was not offered wine list, only told red, white or rose and then when the bill came, it was 8.5 euro for a quart 250ml, very overpriced for the area. Usually 4 euros a glass.

Staying there overnight on our way to Tuscany we thought it would be just one of many hotels you sleep at and than quickly forget. Not this one! The owners are really lovely, great hospitality, food is wonderful. Don't miss the chocolate cake! The rooms are quite simple but spotless and equipped with all you need. Therefore we also stayed there on our way back :)

Nice local restaurant right on the way to the rittner horn. In the evening pizza and dishes from the map. To lunch also menu for workers. In the summer you can also sit in the garden.

I have now had both lunch and dinner on several occasions at the Rittner Stube in Collalbo, and was served some of the best food in the region. Vicenzo's pizza is legendary in Ritten, and people actually come up from the City of Bolzano especially for it. I had some friends from the USA and New Zealand staying recently, and we had dinner at Rittner Stube. Two of us had the steak and I have to say it was one of the finest steaks I've ever had. Vicenzo and Patricia are obviously passionate about their cuisine and hospitality, and are friendly and helpful to their customers. I highly recommend spending an evening at this delightful restaurant. You won't regret it.

We stopped here for lunch after a walk around Renon. Food was okay, nothing special. The service was excellent and friendly. The Weiner Schnitzel was dry and came with very few potatoes. Seemed a bit impoverished. The ravioli was too oily. I would go back here because it was certainly not a disaster but for Italy the food was marginal.
