More of a take away place (only two tables for eating inside), this wood-fired pizzeria is very inexpensive and good for what it is. (Note: It was VERY hot inside, with no a/c and a blazing open oven.) The dough was nice, flavorful, crisp, with good char. The sauce to cheese ratio seemed off (too much cheese), and the tomato sauce not all that flavorful. Perhaps a reflection of its primary mission of take-away, the pizzas were cut, which leads to soggy middles. Most disappointing was the arancini de riso, which had gummy, over-cooked rice yet cheese in the center that wasn't melted. The wine was, unfortunately, not local (table wine from Piedmonte), but was adequate. Service was good and friendly. Cost is low, with two pizzas (diavola and sausage), one arancini, and one bottle of wine costing â¬20. This may be good for the area, but it is just average for wood-fired pizza in general.

Whilst staying at the fabulous Don Tuto, a group of 8 of us decided on an informal meal within walking distance of our accommodation.With low expectations I was more than pleasantly surprised. The pizzas were without doubt the best over weeks in the Puglia region.Even better at 15 euros a head with four bottles of wine and desert, it was an absolute bargain.

Locale carino con arredi moderni stile industrial. Menù vario con hamburger di vario tipo e pizza (disponibile anche in formato baby). Le Patate steak house erano molto buone. La pizza era morbida ma forse un po' indietro con la cottura e risultava leggermente gommosa. Dolci buoni e prezzi contenuti. Magari da riprovare per assaggiare la carne.

The restaurant is actually in Cocumola. It was difficult to find (the address was not in our GPS system and there were many one-way streets and construction), but once we did it was well worth it. Large place, strange decor, but the pizza was exactly right for us. Service was friendly and quick (actually the place was empty when we arrived - we were the first guests as it was 20:30 and the weather wasn't great). They had all the regular offerings, but we decided we only wanted pizza that evening. Thin, crispy crust, tasty toppings. Nothing we didn't like about this pizza. Prices ranged 4 to 6 euros per pizza. If there was anything to note, was the bottle of rose was 14 euros which was a bit on the high side here. Otherwise, we will definitely return for pizza again.

Originario di queste zone; di ritorno in vacanza, mi presento nel locale - in compagnia - per poter mangiare qualcosa.Premettendo che lâafflusso era nei limiti della norma, lâattesa è stata portata ben oltre gli standard; se per una pizza lâattesa è per pochissimi minuti meno di 1 (unâ) ora, allora stiamo messi proprio bene...Nota particolare: i funghi porcini avevano la classica consistenza e sapore di quelli inscatolati; non per altro, lâimpasto era talmente inzuppato che ho dovuto cambiare 3 (tre) tovaglioli solo per la prima metà . Quindi, se proprio dovete farla, fatela bene...Il servizio è penoso e scordinato; il ragazzo che ha preso la comanda era lì lì per farsi mandare al diavolo, dato il suo approccio (dicano lorsignori come si fa ad avere pazienza di fronte ad uno che borbotta, sbuffa e risponde scocciato).Stanco, magari? Io comprendo un eventuale stato di stress, ma altrimenti non è affar mio.Ulteriore dettaglio dolente: mi sono trovato nella costrizione di sollecitare alla cassa; dallâaltra parte, di fronte allâintimazione di andarmene e di pagare solo quello di cui si ha effettivamente fruito, si riceveva come risposta: ânon penso proprioâ; ma puntualmente, la replica è stata âinvece io penso di siâ.Se questi sono gli standard che vi siete prefissati, signori miei, o vi riassestate o cambiate mestiere...

Just returned from 2 weeks in Poggiardo and visited Lievito Madre 4 times because their pizza was amazing. All the staff were very friendly and gave great service. Wish they did delivery to Bournemouth England . Look forward to returning next year and visiting again!!

Modern and fresh decor, wood-fired pizza, friendly staff. An arancini appetizer was good though it could have been better with a touch of a sauce to accompany it. The pizza is quite inexpensive. It is decent enough, though not exceptional in any way. The wine list is decent and not too expensive.

Gorgeous garden at the back so a really lovely place to be. Very friendly staff but food not quite up to promise. Excellent starters but the meat that we had (Tagliata and a steak) was a little lacking in flavour. We nonetheless enjoyed it but it was a little spoiled when we had to wait over 30 mins for the bill, despite asking 3 times!
