It was a Tuesday night and we were staying at a beautiful hotel just outside Porto Santo Stefano. We wanted to find some local cuisine without too many tourists, so we searched out restaurants with Italian reviews and some seafood dishes. We came upon Centro Sportivo la Rosa, a 15 minute walk away and set out. It is in a very small residential community, behind the well-lit hotels and the busy traffic. Strolling through the quiet apartment blocks, I was quite sure we were lost, but noticed a steady stream of locals heading toward some stadium lights at the far end of town. We followed the crowd and came upon a very small complex with two caged soccer (football) arenas and a quaint shack overlooking the games, we had arrived at Cento Sportivo la Rosa.The room is small, well lit and clean. The staff speak little English, which adds to the charm. But the food is fabulous. Follow the staffs recommendations and you cannot go wrong. I would suggest getting the Misti Antipasti, an assortment of the local appetizers and the Spaghetti al Pirata. For a more adventurous but authentic experience off-the-beaten-track, give this spot a try. The portions are generous, the food is delicious and the people are wonderful.

Just finishing our dinner now. Husband had mixed grill seafood. I had vegetable pizza. Also mixed fish crostini and mixed roasted vegetables. Nearly killed myself finishing that pizza but I wasn't going to leave a bite!Reasonable prices and nice view over the harbor too!!

Needles to say that if you want to eat here you should really make a reservation! Described as neoplitan pizzeria/restaurant I was dissapointed to find that the pizza is not at all like it should be!Not bad not neoplotan.Plus the waiting time was simpy ridiculous. Other than that,nice view and pleasant staff are a positive feature.

The location is just in front at the ferry station from Porto Santo Stefano to Giglio Island and you can have a perfect family deal...kids menu or wood oven Pizza hand made and an amazing selection of fish from starters throw pasta and main courses for the parents, like me....,all followed by a good selection of wines, I choose a Ca Del Bosco dosage zero, ok the waiter take few minutes to get the bottle, maybe is a kind of wine not really common ... by the way it was served at the right temperature Right price..Well welcomed

We went here for Pizza, three pages of different pizzas on the menu but when we decided to order we were told "no pizzas". We ordered pasta instead and it was very good and fresh.The photos shown on trip advisor are not of the exterior of this restaurant. Something is out of place as I have the receipt and a business card with the address crossed out so maybe they have moved to Via Mazzini shown on the receipt.

Grano has the best pizza of anywhere we traveled in Italy. The crust is amazing and the prices are very low! Its located right on the harbor with an amazing view. I wouldn't get pizza anywhere else!!

Unico posto a Porto Santo Stefano, dove puoi mangiare bene, essere servito meglio ancora, senza essere spennati! Vario e lodevole il menù dove puoi spaziare, dalla pizza agli hamburger, passando per la pizza o un bel tagliere senza dimenticare l'ottima frittura mista! Tutto dinottima qualità . Il locale non mi sembra abbia tavoli all'interno ma solo bei tavolini all'aperto dove poter conversare tranqulli godendosi la brezza! Se siete all'Argentario fateci un salto! Un Brave alle ragazze del servizio ai tavoli!

Lunch at El Merendero where my husband had pizza and I took from the selection of dishes in counter having roasted chicken and different vegetables. A pitty the chicken and vegetables were heated in a microwave. Not really doing something good for the food. As having a great pizza oven why not use this (?). Average pizza yet fresh topping with rockets and bresaola
