Osteria d'altri Tempi is an amazing little restaurant just inside Montalcino's walls. All their dishes are homemade and the staff is really welcoming. We had their boar meat (cinghiale) specialties and some amazing fagottini with cheese and saffron (you should really try those!). The wine, produced by the owner of the restaurant, was also excellent. Definitively recommended!

Great Restaurant and Vinoteka in one. That was our first trip to Montalcino. The beautiful little town with many authentic establishments, including this particular restaurant. A nice and informal atmosphere, very good and local cuisine, but it is on a "heavy" side. Various cold-cuts and local fresh pasta with heavy sauces - that was our menu for that night, with several glasses of local and famous Montalcino wines. If you are there and would want to do what the locals do - go for dinner to San Giorgio. Do not expect to be hungry for any smallest amount of breakfast the next morning.

We happened upon this place late one rainy lunchtime wandering around Murlo. We were pretty hungry and really glad we found it. Not only was he food delicious, but itâs a quirky place with a warm welcome.We both enjoyed pasta dishes. Spaghetti with a sage pesto and tagliatelle with the local boar ragu. All washed down with a carafe of the house red. Nom, nom.Great location with views over the countryside and a lovely balcony that would have been nice it it wasnât for the rain. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was recommended by our hosts at Castello di San Fabiano and it was a good recommendation. This family restaurant in a rural setting is non spectacular inside but the food and service are great. Loved the great food, house wine, service and value for money.

I would recommend this restaurant when visiting Montalcino. Everything was amazing: the food, the service, the venue, the value for money... I wouldn't find a negative point to mark in our choice. The menu is quite large and interesting including any kind of Italian food. Nice decoration and quiet atmosphere. 100% advisable.

Had called for a reservation, since it was a Sunday night. Everyone from the neighborhood comes to this place.We had a friendly waitress seat us at a perfect corner table outside and help us order. Started with a Comigliano Rosso Di Montalcino 2014 and water with gas. I ordered Pici, my new fav pasta, with mushrooms and beef and a tomato mista salate. The guys had pizza with a salad. The food really is so fresh and delicious. Then, we were forgotten. Waited around for the check, only to see that they charged us for 3 pizzas. Tried to explain, sat and waited for 1/2 hour. Finally my husband went to the desk and tried to explain, he decided to just pay the bill and not leave a tip. Came out the same way. But, we would have love to see our friendly waitress again. It was not to be. Great food, loved the ambiance and being outside was perfect...just not good collecting the bill skills.

We tried more than 20 pizzas all around the Tuscany. Some of them were thin, some thick, some had just few ingredients and others were rich. But pizzas here were truly the perfect one. We wanted to go back day after, unfortunately it was closed even that according to tripadvisor it should be open that evening. Desserts were good but nothing special. But we will definitely come back because of pizza.

We ate here often during our last visit to the area 3 years ago and enjoyed it again this visit. It is unpretentious and excellent food. Very reasonable and very nice people working there. Would highly recommend especially for their pizzas.

Nicely set tables and a welcoming appearance attracted us to stop at this restaurant for lunch. The menu is simple and quite basic, the waitstaff friendly. Don't expect too much and you will enjoy it.
