We decided to eat Italian for my partner's birthday. So glad we did. Good choice of food at reasonable prices. Lovely atmosphere if a little noisy. Really nice birthday celebration and excellent service. Give it a try!

Highly recommend La Foglia after spending the evening their last nightGreat food at a reasonably price Recommend Risotto Fruit de Mer.Starters are great try the Octopuss, if it is on the menu for the day. Fish is excellent as was the Tagliatelle Verde al Carbonar Chicken Rollatuni as chosen by the other members of our family.Staff are excellant friendly & helpful We will diffinatly be returning very soon

We go here fairly often and although you often have to queue for drinks you get a good friendly service.However our experience on Monday 19th Dec was a long way off this. The barman was a right grumpy barsteward who clearly didn't want to be there. He was rude and dismissive to a number of friends and colleagues.Things came to a head when it was my round and I went to pay. I asked pay by card and the barman reached out and took my card. At this point I assumed it would be chip and pin as is the case when they usually take your card.To my surprise the barman wondered off down the bar out of my direct line of sight and came back having swiped my card to make a contactless payment. When I questioned him on this and said it wasn't appropriate he was rude and abusive. Furthermore he refused to give me a receipt and was very dismissive of the fact he had just used my card inappropriately.I have now reported this to my bank who said at best his behavior was suspicions at best, but the transaction could potentially be fraudulent and to check my bank statement when they show (in a day or two).Why they have hired someone who is so awful and unkempt is beyond me as it is not in keeping with their generally good reputation/service.

On a recent stopover in our narrowboat we were searching for an Italian we ate in 6years ago (now, sadly, closed) and fell upon Pizza Express for a light lunch.Situated in a lovely high ceiling Georgian building and nicely converted internally we enjoyed Spring Rhubarb Fizz cocktails and Peroni whilst munching our way through two excellent Fiorentina and Barbacoa pizzas. The latter is a new spicey beef recipe and was well tasty. Mixed salad accompanied these.Excellent service and although this was a Monday, quiet, lunch I would image the atmosphere is pretty good on a buzzy eveening

We had an excellent first meal at Capri tonight. The place has been completely redecorated from its previous incarnation as La Lanterna. The pizza is the best in Banbury .. proper thin crusts and a great range of toppings or create your own. Good range of pastas too and some great sweets (although we didnât get to try them tonight!) The drinks license is coming soon but donât let that put you off. This place deserves to do well.
