We spent the day at Aios Andreas beach and had a drink at the bar and a great lunch at this beautiful restaurant which has fantastic views and very cool interior design.The only negative feedback is that the food took over and hour and 20 minutes and some people in our party had to cancel their meal to head back to the ship which was very unfortunate. But definitely worth the visit - hopefully the service would be faster next time.

Definitely not ££££ for a simple but divine lunch, more like ££ (at most) for moussaka and a Greek salad. Quirky place showing all the signs of love of their place and hospitality. English not their metier but this is way off the tourist track - we sent here by a Greek friend who lived in Patras - but welcoming and friendly. Thank you for choosing Magouliana for your meal. Either weekdays or at weekends you can enjoy the best food in town, great quality from fresh season's vegies, variety of dishes, reasonable prices. My father used to take us there yars ago, now I take my kids and friends. Food and owners unique, the interior design has been updated to a modern space with a flair of family culture.

The taverna and the staff is very friendly. The food is very delecius. The chesse when is baked in the oven and served in "clay bowl" is the best in the world! The waitress is very helpfully and pretty (by my boyfriend) :-)

What a great surprise. This tavern is worth a visit. Great interior, delicious taste. Relaxed atmosphere, well cooked food and a smiley service. Don't miss this sea seaside experience with a local heart. The recipes are authentic and the ingredients are really fresh. Ask for the dish of the day. Something different every day.

In all fairness, I want to preface my comment about slow service with the clarification that a group of 80 of us descended on this beach restaurant all at once. They did their best to serve us well, but they just weren't prepared to manage a large group. I can't say enough about the seafood. The owner was clearly proud of his fresh catch, as he brought us into the kitchen to show it off and so that we could hand pick our own fish. Everything we tried, which was a lot, was spectacularly good. The mixed seafood platter was especially delicious, with some of the best calamari I've ever tasted. This open air restaurant, right on the beach, is the perfect place for a slow, relaxing meal before or after a swim in the beautiful waters just a few steps below it. Slow service and all, I highly recommend it!

we'd had a long drive and knocked on the door at 6.30pm not knowing the restaurant doesn't open until 8... we were exhausted and hungry and so we said we would have a drink and wait... the chap who owns the restaurant fired up the ovens for us anyway and all of the food was excellent. it's all very Greek and traditional and brilliantly priced especially for the local wine which is fab. if you want an authentic greek experience with local produce, come here.. we will be coming again.Thank you for your preference .. hope to see you again!!!

After many years of gastronomic peregrination in Greece, I have found THE reference of a Greek family taverna. The place, the food and the atmosphere are really genuine and true ! The owners are sooo friendly. We felt like being at home ! When reading the stupid comment written by Niikii, I feel like being really hurted ; his comment is really gratuitously nasty (probably written by a coward competitor ?). I can confirm that his opinion does absolutely not reflect the reality ! The quality of food is just amazing, like the final invoice. A large choice of home-made specialities, a very nice home wine, a very efficient service ! We've been there on Tuesday 11 August, and have ordered moussaka & pasticcio for Thursday ; they did it especially for us ! I really look forward to visit this area again, as we fell in love with Mare Dei Ionian Resort and the O Savouras taverna !!! We were on a cruiseship and our stop was in Katakolon. We decided to visit the local shops and went for a walk along the beach. Then we came across this restaurant (greeks seem to call it taverna) with lovely tables outside and with local people having lunch. This is ALWAYS a good sign. So we decided to sit down for our lunch. Very tasty Greek salad, Musaka and, pasta with shrimps.The portions were very very generous, we couldn't finish it all, the dish of pasta was so big that my teenagers shared one and very kindly the owner took the second one we ordered away and he did not charge us for it. Very friendly service, good food, reasonable price, beautiful views.
