Al Parco is one of the best places to eat in Friuli. We have been going there for years now and never had a deception, or just one when we had the bed luck to meet a wedding there. Carpaccio di cervo excellent, Risotto di Aglio, Olio etc excellent, Grgliata excellent, deserts excellent. Our table beside the fogolar was nice and warm, no disturbance by smoke whatsoever. By now owners and personnel know us and are friendly as ever. The only thing that strikes me is that negative comments on this and other places come almost exclusively from Italians. Maybe they should bear in mind that they are not in Italy there! :-D

Little restaurant with only fish menù.
From outside we would not have entered as we passed by the previous day and it was empty. But we where recommended and therefor we went. There we learned that the restaurant is in the first floor and it is crowded. They server excellent fish and seafood, The service is very friedly and the patron helps with language as the menue is in Italian only. We enjoyed it very much.

A location on top of the hills of Buttrio, part of the well-known area of Colli Orientali del Friuli. A place to rediscover traditions of the Friuli region. The trattoria Scacciapensieri offers a typical menu, made only with products from the family veget
Not far from the castle of Buttrio, this Agriturismo (farmhouse) on the Collio is truly praiseworthy for its tranquillity, between vineyards and forests, and the splendid panorama that is presented to the visitor.Hot and picked interior, with the kitchen dividing the two rooms where you can enjoy the specialties of a good chef, proposing excellent dishes of regional rustic cuisine. We really enjoyed the dishes we have been offered, especially the âfettuccineâ with San Daniele ham, and a delicious âtagliataâ (a steak cut in pieces). The service is attentive and very courteous; the menu is good, with the regret not being able to go beyond a bearable number of carry on a day full of things to do yet.To repeat to complete the experience!

Elliot is an authentic Boutique Hotel, located in an enchanting landscape. Located in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli near Manzano, nestled among the lush green hills, surrounded by fine vineyards, there has been a refined restaurant for gourm
The Hotel Elliott in the city of Manzano offers, next to the restaurant inside the hotel itself, a simpler restaurant (a Trattoria, or Locanda, in the Italian definition) which is located next door, in the same complex of buildings.A local apparently unpretentious, but serving to the visitors a typical Friuli cuisine menu, in addition to a selection of highly respected wines.A very helpful service helps in the identification of the most appropriate food on the palate of the tourists, while the serenity of the atmosphere (the property stays on a hill overlooking the Friuli countryside and the vineyards that cover it, monopolizing almost the entire crop) creates the best conditions for a simple meal but with an excellent content. We especially enjoyed a beef fillet tartare and a wonderfully delicious lasagna, all dishes accompanied by a yellow Ribolla sparkling wine that surprised us. Unhappily the weather was to hot and not the most suitable for a more complete meal, with the variety of dishes we wanted from the menu it the few more glasses of wine we would want to drink before leaving.Account more than acceptable. For those wishing to escape from the usual recommended paths I think this place can be a good solution. I suggest to try it, visiting the region.

We are two Australian couples of Italian background and my cousin and myself mother and father came from Capriva and Cormons. We arrived to eat lunch here at closing time. Instead of turning us away the owner and cook welcomed us into the restaurant and cooked us your typical fruilano food (frico, proscuitto and polenta), together with the amazing wines from this area. Food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I would go back to this restaurant if I am ever back in Coromons

We arrived in the middle afternoon...hungry. Where to eat in Italy that closes for siestas...This small restaurant with 2 friendly ladies welcomed us very warmly and served nices dishes to be shared between all of us. The tables are very elegantly settled with tablecloths and decoration. A nice surprise!

In the heart of Collio, the restaurant is located in a building dating from 1700, with typical Cormonese architectonical structure. It has a delightful terrace-garden. The cuisine is inspired by Central European cooking and of high quality. Wide wine choi
We were a party of six, and we tried a couple of different dishes. For the starter we took prosciutto San Daniele and tonno battuto. Both delicious. Then we took orzotto and blecks with San Daniele & funghi porcini. Blecks were fantastic, much more favorable than orzotto. The best dish of the dinner in my opinion. As main we took ravioli and veal. The filling in the raviloi was tasteful a bit too dry. If it was for my taste, I would never grill ravioli, because grilled pasta becomes bitter. The deserts were good, the strawberry tiramisu better than the almond cannoli. All over, a tasteful dinner with a fantastic white Jermann.

We spent a great evening all by ourselves at this very sympathetic place:Great evironmentGreat ArchitectureGreat CookingGreat ServiceThe Management complied with all my extra desires in the most competent way.A very memorable evening!PS: it is surprising to notice that bad ratings are exclusively coming from Italians with the most bizarre arguments.

We discovered Al Postiglione last year when we were searching around Friuli and Slovenian Goriska Brda for place to take family and friend for our 50th celebration. At certain point we found Perusini Hacienda for accommodation and we were recommended by owners to have dinner at Al Postiglione very near. Before final decision we wanted with my husband to check the food and the service. At first sight we have fallen in love with this place. Nestled on the hill in an old farm house with gorgeous view to vineyards. First time we were late for Saturday lunch, however Francisco, the host, just invited us inside and we got the best gnnochi on the globe - no kidding, mouth-washing Florentine steak and cake we have dreamed about ever since than. The decision was taken and we have never regretted it.We have been coming every couple of weeks after - nota bene, we need to drive 90 min from our place but it is worth.Needless to say that celebration for 50 invitees, taking place on 25th of May 2013 was just fantastic, thanks to Marianna and Francesco. Our guest which are not all easy ones, were extremely satisfied and still now at every occasion at the end we talk about Irish beef tagliata, about pasta, about Florentiner steak and about the fantastic spirit of this place. What we all appreciated the most was friendly and relaxed however highly professional attitude of Marianna and Francesco and atmosphere they can create. It was no problem for them and musician Enzo they had recommended to extend for 3 hours; we left our hosts at 1.45 instead of 23.00 as agreed originally. It was so perfect that in August 2013 I organized the wedding lunch for my ex husband and again it was big success. Since than we drop by every couple of weeks for lunch or dinner or just a bite of lardo in the afternoon. My sons are dreaming of Irish or Australian top quality beef at Al Postiglione, my daughters of home made gnnochi and sweets. And me I look forward for the best rum I ever tasted - from Guatemala, better than any cognac, Armagnac or whiskey and which is Francesco's secret at the end of meal. I don't know about our dogs, nevertheless they feel very good at this restaurant and they are very welcomeWe were in USA for couple of weeks over New Year, we were landing in Milan and we were all just waiting for Marianna's and Francisco's warm welcome, their always happy and friendly face and for delicious food we could not taste in NYC best restaurants. We in general ravel globally very often, we meet different people, we have tried many restaurants however Al Postiglione and their incredible hosts remain on the 1st place in our hearts.Thank you very much! Is a wonderful surprise to read youe review! When you want to return to Postiglione to spend nice time and eat good food, you are welcome!

It is a surprisingly good restaurant within a hotel on the national road towards Udine, very convenient for trips of wine seekers on Colli Orientali. We had marvellous ravioli with raw fasolari, and typical and perfect "cialzons" with amaretti. Desserts were incredibly good. If you a have a full meal with "normal" wine expect to pay around â¬60-80.
