Even though our visit was on the Monday after Christmas, which we thought would be quiet, we booked a table. Lucky we did because the place was full. It was a cold and foggy night but the restaurant was warm and 'buzzing'. Our chosen dishes were preceded by a very tasty amuse-bouche. Overall the meal was delicious, particularly the three cuts of suckling pig which was a plate we would highly recommend. Unfortunately my starter of mixed nut carbonara was virtually inedible because the sauce was far too salty.

Troviamo questo interessante posticino.I tavoli sono tutti occupati e veniamo invitati a sorseggiare un calice di vino aspettando.Gustiamo una deliziosa vellutata di zucca e poi carne cruda e ancora una stupenda cipolla ripiena di una goduriosa fonduta.Dovremo tornare per i dolci!

Troviamo questo interessante posticino.I tavoli sono tutti occupati e veniamo invitati a sorseggiare un calice di vino aspettando.Gustiamo una deliziosa vellutata di zucca e poi carne cruda e ancora una stupenda cipolla ripiena di una goduriosa fonduta.Dovremo tornare per i dolci!

Con alcuni colleghi, essendo dalle parti di Ovada, decidiamo in un caldo pomeriggio di giugno di andare in una piscina della zona e poi, appreso che durante la serata suonerà un duo del quale ci hanno parlato molto bene, ci fermiamo a cena.A bordo piscina consumiamo una cena semplice ma soddisfacente, di mio delle lasagne di mare gradevoli e un cous cous sempre di mare ma un po' meno soddisfacente, prendiamo un vino bianco che sfuso che non ci convinceròà più di tanto ma nella media, dolci buoni e prezzo onesto, gentili nel servizio.Credo che, per gli abitanti della zona che vogliono trovare un po' di refrigerio nelle calde giornate estive, l'abbinata piscina e poi cena al Geirino sia da prendere in considerazione, soprattutto quando suonano come nella serata nella quale sono andato, davvero piacevole.

This âFarinataâ stand was the last in the long chain of various traditional crafts and trades presented at theMedieval feast in Ventimiglia Alta (the Old Town). And it was the one that attracted the most visitors!âFarinataâ in Italian Liguria is basically the same as âSoccaâ in Nice â sort of large pancakes of chickpea flourseasoned with all sorts of local herbs and spices. The generous vendors served me such a big helping that Iwould have quite a problem dealing with it, if it were not for their red âBarbieriâ wine!By the way, the wine was incredibly cheap â 1 euro / glass, while the food made me a whole 5 euro poorer!P.S. The owner is called no less than Ivan Boccaccio, and he speaks very sensible English

A cosy, quite modern restaurant at a small piazza in Ovada. You can eat outside and inside. Plenty of staff, friendly, good service. Choice of pizza, primi, secondi at good prices. We were surprised by the large portions. There is also a wide range of sea food. The children ate pizza, the rest chose a secondo of grilled meat and some contorni. One person ordered spaghetti alla scoglie. Everybody enjoyed his or her food. We payed 97 euro - which seems a very fair price for what we ordered.

We decided to stop along the way to Genoa to try this Osteria.Despite some waiting for the table we really enjoyed it.We had the charcuterie as starter, very generous board and delicious, and after handmade gnocchi with castelnagno cheese and black truffle and the roasted pig with peppers. We will definitely go again!

searching for a restaurant in Ovada downtown for dinner.I found this place because had a good rating in TripAdvisor.very nice and well organized restaurant, service to the table was fast and very professional.I took one entry + one main course.outstanding level of food quality and pretty good balance with total amount paid.strongly suggested to anyone looking for great food in this area

Enjoyed an evening here with friends, and felt very confident as a coeliac eating here- they are very well-informed of gluten-free, cautious of cross-contamination, and offered a wide range menu, including pizzas (cooked in a separate oven), gnocchi, and they make the majority of the desserts gluten-free - I had cheesecake! Highly recommended.
