Appeared a lovely restaurant and the food was nice, what let it down slightly was that there was no atmosphere, maybe because we were the only customers the entire time? The staff also very chatty amongst themselves just standing around (there must of been something they could of been doing?) a bit more than I would say was appropriate. All in all would come back but would be the last time if the lack of atmosphere hadnât improved.

My girlfriend and I were on a night out at the Cliffs Pavilion so we thought we would walk up the high street and grab a bite to eat. We always check out reviews and this time Barru looked amazing so we thought we would see for ourselves... this turned out to be a really good move...First impressions were of a warm, inviting little restaurant that was spotlessly clean. The staff are the friendliest, most helpful and welcoming people you could meet. They were more than happy to talk you through the delightful, mouth watering menu. The service was excellent. Food was delicious with generous portions at reasonable prices. Everyone should give it a go... it makes a delicious change from the usual, chain restaurant favourites. Iâve had a couple of take-aways from here recently - one was delivered, the other I collected. The service is cold and not especially welcoming. The four cheese sauce for the pasta is far from cheesy, the pasta is not fresh; however, the cheese garlic-bread is amazing! The food is cheap and hot and if youâre after something quick, then will suffice. I think they excel in their breads and piadinas.

Lovely atmosphere, great food, attentive staff. Service was slow but thatâs because the food is cooked fresh to order - some of the kitchen being visible from the dining area.There were 4 in our party and we each had a different starters and main courses from the specials menu - no complaints from anyone!

We used to visit flying pasta a lot however that seems to have changed hands or moving? Rumours, no idea. Anyway, we tried La Sirena a year back with some friends and have since returned every other month as it is superb. Loads of character and great good. Beer prices very reasonable, wine not bad price but good quality. GREAT food. See you very soon.

Its a shame that what should have been a happy experience has turned into one which upset a young lady. This was a lunch following wedding/bridesmaid fittings. A restaurant with such great food delivering customer service of this nature is dissapointing. I would have expected the owner to embrass the feedback and humbly apologise again, not respond in such an aggressive and defensive manner. The response says it all really

I popped into Cucina restaurant today with my girlfriend for a small lunch. I couldnât have picked a better place. The food was fantastic!!! First visit with friends but not the last. Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful, the menu and dishes were explained to us clearly and recommendations made. The food was superb and plenty of it. The place is so authentic I could have been in Portugal. Highly recommended.
