Sicilian stepping stone in the haert of this sleepy south italian town (especially in summer). Thenam of this nice little place is 'tastes of sicily' and that is exactly what you get. Stuffed and rolled eggplant with cheese and/or potato, pasta with sauce from the sweetest and ripest tomatoes, cassata. all simple and honest food, for the incredible lunch price of â¬10 -; three courses and including water or wine. Many white collar workers lunch in this little restaurant. Amusing to observe how the employees try to please their boss. (Italian bureaucracy is known for it's hierarchic structures).The silver back gorilla ofcourse being the fattest and responses of one or two words.

Sono di New Jeresy e te lo scrivo in Americano. This place was as good as advertised. Setting was warm and inviting. Service was attentive and the waiter was had an enjoyable personality. Easy going and informative. It's located in the Centro Storico of Foggia down a cobblestoned alley. Not that easy to finf, but well worth it. I had the BOCCONCINI DI SPECK E MOZZARELLA, so tasty!!!! It had me wanting more. A must have! The other dish was the ORECCHIETTE CON SALSICCIA E PORCINI. Delicious!!!! The last item was the Torta Nera. Simply heaven. Chocolate cake with nutella drizzled on top. I was pretty excited about eating out for the first time in Foggia. While service was good, the food was rather ordinary. Maybe my expectations were too high ... based on the tripadvisor.com ranking. The price is reasonable and the only thing that I really loved was the dessert (torta calda al cioccolato).Buona sera sig. Alessandra...in merito alla sua recensione non riesco a credere che lei abbia trovato la nostra OSTERIA priva di prodotti di qualita' poiche' sono esposti ovunque in sala ed usati...credo che e' l'unica persona che ha messo in dubbio la qualita' dei nostri prodotti su 96 recensioni...e mi spiace proprio il fatto che non parla di gusto o cucina non gradita ma esclusivamente di qualita'...e questo mi lascia molto perplessa nel credere che la sua non sia una recensione di parte...o semplicemente non ha mai mangiato prodotti di qualita' e quindi non riesce a riconoscerli...e li giudica anche in maniera negativa proprio per questo...l'unica cosa che dice di aver apprezzato e' un dolce della bindi surgelato che non ha niente di negativo ma che e' molto diverso da cio' che prepariamo noi con prodotti di alta qualita' e freschi...forse il suo palato e' piu' portato per tali prodotti preconfezionati o surgelati. Really nice staff, great food, fantastic wine, casual dining experience. It's run and operated by the farmers of a tomato and grape farm. Close to outskirts of town most of the wine, olives and tomatoes products are their own. We speak English and only a little Italian but are always made welcome and everyone makes an effort with us. A great place for a snack or a full meal. Lunch or dinner, or just to buy good wine to take home.

I have been in this lovely and cozy restaurant by myself for lunch. Everything is really fresh and they update the menu day by day as they choose the freshest products everyday at he local market. Traditional dishes with a small hint of "new". It's worth a visit, or many visits till you have tried all the dishes in the menu! I really advice this place.

Besides the lovely decoration, this restaurant holds the prize for the taste of its dishes. The meat so well prepared, cooked at the right time. The detail of the dishes is incredible - when taken a bite you feel the freshness of the ingredients. You truly take a voyage through the foodâs complexity. Come prepared to take some time, seating down, enjoying the best wine through the starters and reaching the peak with the panini. Will come back

This place is an absolute must visit if you a looking for a true local dining experience if you are anywhere near Foggia. We had no idea what we would experience at this "no menu" family owned restaurant that features a "Five Chapter" dining experience, but it proved to be the most exceptional food we had while in Italy - including some great meals we had while in Rome, Florence and Bari. During our 2 1/2 hours, we were presented multiple dishes of expertly prepared local food - meats, cheese, fish, pasta, Risotto, soup in home made bread bowl, and more desserts I can remember. We were quite...no we were shocked, when the dinner bill was received received to learn the entire amount owed was $60 euros ( 30 euros each ) AND that included a bottle of Italian wine. Thank you for a great memory!
