We had a very nice dinner in Lari. I Burattinai served very good food by kind English speaking personnel. The card was in three languages. Pasta came from next door, Martinelli. The steak with gorgonzola was tasty. The location on top of the wall was top!I recommend this place to all families visiting this awesome area!

Upon recommendation of our hotel, we went to this restaurant on our first night in Ponsacco, and we returned every night of our stay there - need I say more ?Excellent pizza, great spaghetti alle vongole, deicious risotto, fresh fish.... no exception, everything was perfect! As you'll see from the pictures, the decor here defies imagination. But irrespective of your taste in furnishings, you should try this place for every other reason. The people are friendly and the food is magnificent. My wife and I shared a plate of Tuscan meats and cheese, and then a lovely pasta dish - which was small enough to allow us to enjoy the piece de resistance - vacuum-cooked pig (basically a mini roast pork with crackling). Fabulous.

Our last night in Tuscany we had dinner at Da Carlo. It is clearly a favorite of the locals. It is a quaint restaurant that is actually fairly large inside. Our waitress was fantastic. She was very attentive and friendly. We had both a pasta and steak meals. Both were fantastic. The wine selection by the glass was really good and they have severval beers, some on draft. It was a very relaxing dinning experience and we throughly enjoyed the restaurant - great food and service. We would recommend.

After driving up unfamiliar winding hilly roads with sharp turns from our hotel in a rental car, we almost got stuck in the very narrow alley leading to the restaurant in the dark, quiet, practically deserted town on this Tuesday evening. We found the hard way that apparently the only way to reach it was to park in the public lot a short distance downhill and hike up. Notwithstanding the scary experience, we were glad we made it to this charming little restaurant safely for early dinner, however. The interior with 7-8 tables was cheerful, and tastefully decorated. We appreciated the artful, eye-pleasing and meticulous presentation of the dishes, and the privacy of our table. The hostess was attentive and gracious. We were impressed by the cleverly plated vegetables that playfully resembled colorful âsushiâsâ and a refreshing iceberg lettuce salad served in elegant chinaware. The bolognese pasta was well-seasoned and tasty; the cod was moist and delicious; and the sliced beef was tender. We loved the Rose from a neighborhood vineyard. The sweet desserts rounded out an enjoyable meal. We got to admire the lit tall church tower in the town square nearby before heading back.

Attended this restaurant at a private birthday function for about 30 people and its was an amazing experience with great food. Had the Eggs with Garlic and Truffle which was good, the calamari and squid ink pasta was excellent and for mains the Monkfish was also very good. A selection of desserts out of which the panna cotta was the highlight. The restaurant is tucked away in a very small village but there is plenty of parking and its well worth the visit.Thanks Shan, for his recession.I am happy that he enjoyed my dishes, in this regard , the next time he returns to Tuscany, we can organize a cooking Class , for her and her friend. A very nice restaurant with excellent food and service. Price level is good and so is the quality of the food. We had dinner for 19 persons. Everybody very pleased. The local wine included in the menu was good!A place I would like to visit also in the future.

This lovely restaurant in Peccioli could not be more charming, hospitable and delicious. The owner, Francesco, and the staff are very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the food they serve, the olive oil that is sold there, the cheese, the salami, and of course, the wine. Thy also sell a nice variety of Tuscan spreads, oil, cheeses and salamis. You will definitely feel like a local, and may not want to leave. My personal favorite is the Truffle spread, but there are many more to try. Don't miss it.Thanks Pam, it was really nice for us too.as I told you...THIS IS OUR WAY ;)

I've eaten at La Locanda di Camugliano twice in the last month and both times the food and service have been excellent.I highly recommend the Spaghetti allo Scoglio, Spaghetti with fresh seafood was delicious !!The locanda has a lovely relaxing atmosphere, great for romantic dinners and parties.

4 of us went to dinner and were not disappointed! 2 had filet; 1 had duck breast and 1 had the stuffed pasta with a cream sauce. Side dishes were salad and roasted vegetables. None of us were disappointed. The food was prepared perfectly and the presentations were superb. Highly recommend.
