When it comes to Divano restaurant, I think I am an expert. I think I have been to the place more than twice a month for the past 3 years. You can say I am a regular. This restaurant offers the best shisha (nargila), and they change the coals always. The staff is very friendly and they always offer advice on their plates and know them well. They can alter the dishes to suit your allergies which is something not done in many restaurants. The food is so good and the prices are very reasonable. The ambiance is very warm and welcoming and it has a certain buzz that makes me come back every time. What more can I say? It's my favorite hangout in Bethlehem.

As our Holy Land Pilgrimage was coming to an end, our group of thirty-six went out to dinner on August 8, 2018. This was a great choice of our tour guide. The food was great and the atmosphere was exciting. A local high school group provided traditional dance entertainment and invited our group to take part. A nice relaxing evening and worth going there again.

Fawda Restaurant & Cafe

Fawda Restaurant, found on the grounds of the guesthouse, is, simply, a must-visit restaurant for any "foodie" who finds themselves in Bethlehem. Our four course lunch cost only marginally more than the cafes in Manger Square and the ambiance of the restaurant was intimate and very interesting. Meals are prepared by the chef based on the local ingredients he purchases in the morning. We loved the fact that our pumpkin soup with chestnuts, slow cooked lamb and freekeh were not over-seasoned, allowing us to enjoy the natural taste of the Palestinian ingredients. Our lunch was beautifully paired with a Taybeh Merlot - also very reasonably priced. One of the highlights of the meal was our dessert - a baked apple and sweet sauce. Amazing flavors! Lastly, I want to highlight the fact that we found the service to be both very professional and friendly. We often find waiters or waitresses at high-end restaurants to be a bit aloof, but our waitress struck the perfect balance of being friendly/engaging and allowing us time to enjoy the food. Top notch service. We left very happy and grateful for the chance to taste Palestine in this way. Dear Mr. Zachary,Thank you so much for your great review. The chef and the team are happy that a discerning "foodie" such as yourself has enjoyed your meal with us.We strive to put forward the tastes of local Palestinian produce and do not over-season or salt too much our dishes. We are lucky in Palestine to have a great vineyard such as Taybeh that produces fantastic wines we pair with our cuisine. Our team has pleasure in serving our guests and enjoys sharing the tastes of Palestine in our historic setting.Looking forward to see you again among us.

This is a wonderful restaurant in an interesting location with views of the Shepherd's Fields below. We had a corner table with open windows out- fresh air and a breeze. The food was delicious and plentiful. Even though our extra large tour group filled the entire place, we had outstanding service and much to choose from. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we had a delightful meal. Can't comment on value really as it was prepaid with the tour.

We booked a table for lunch at Sukkot. This was the result of favorable Trip Advisor evaluations. Two of us had, what the waitress called Stroganoff, although on the menu it said beef head. It had nothing to do with the well-known Stroganoff. Four very little pieces of meat floated in a red spicy sauce and some chickpeas. The taste wasn't bad but it played the role of a main course and it just didn't fulfill its role. We left hungry. The burger, both the regular and children's portions were fair in size. The Malabi was tasty on a coconut sauce basis but again a very modest dish. We paid 64 shekels for each of the so-called Stroganoffs. The cheque for four: 2 burgers and 2 Stroganoffs plus the sweets and drinks came up to exorbitant 365 shekel. For example, the kid's burger was charged 42 shekels. One Malabi: 24 shekel. 300 ml of Weihenstephan beer: 32 shekels.Hi, I'm very sorry to hear that you had bad experience at our restaurant,The hed beef dish is a special so it it's not on the menu however I understand that one of our staff told you it is strogonoff meat and I think it was a language barrier that miss lead you again I'm sorry and I really hope to have you hear again for a better experience, like you can see most of our costumers leave hear very happy and return. One more thing the weihenstephan 330ml is 28 and the 500 ml it cost 32.Thank you for the feedback I can assure you that we will learn from it and do everything we can to satisfy all of our future costumers.
