Dar Sitti Aziza

Dar Sitti Aziza is more than a heritage hotel: it is a labor of love. In English, the name of our hotel is “The House of My Grandmother Aziza.” The name Aziza means “precious” in Arabic, which to us gives our hotel a double meaning: it is precious both in word and also in memory of our grandmother whose name it bears. We have many fond memories of hearing stories about this unique home of our family, and we are now ready to offer this home to the many visitors who come around the world to visit Bethlehem, Palestine and beyond.Ahlan wa sahlen! You are welcome!

Superb guesthouse. Don't hesitate!

I recommend to anyone wanting to venture in Palestine and discover Bethlehem, Hebron and Jerusalem, to stay at Alrowwad. The guesthouse is new and offers very high hotel standards. The rooms are very clean, with comfortable beds and the staff is very kind, helpful. There's a great take-way close by. There is also a small gift shop in the ground floor corner featuring local goodies and creations. By staying here, you also help the local with much needed support: Solidarity even better than charity. I've also visited the Alrowwad Cultural and Arts Society bringing joy and laughter to the neighbourhood. I will surely visit again.

Very underwhelming

Reviewed By US27445

It was not what we expected at all, not worth the time and differently not worth the money. When we first arrived we say left over room service trays and pizza boxes in the hallways leading ton the rooms, we though it was gonna be cleaned up soon after, but it stayed there until the Secound morning, the smell of the rotten food was really bad, the hallways needed desperate cleaning as the carpets were super dirty and you can see peaces of trash and dirt everywhere. The rooms were cleaned minimally, you can still notice dust on the walls, and we had to get an extra mattress in the roof which they put on the floor and when they moved the furniture to bring the mattress in it was like it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. One of the biggest problem in the hotel was the maintenance, the hotel looked like it wasn’t touched in years, torn carpets, loose furniture, elevator got stuck with families in it a couple of times and so many other things like light bulbs needed replacing and broken stuff that is not usable anymore. It was super understaffed, which was the cause to the low maintenance, very poor management and no matter how much we complained the staff was careless The breakfast menu was the most basic, very low variety of options, vegetables were not fresh, and it was kind of chaotic in the dining room. The pool and gym were not bad, the pool bar didn’t have everything on the menu most of the time, but it was ok. I do not recommend it at all and I for sure won’t be going back there again, although we have been going there for years and the old management, and we stayed in it when it first changed to the new brand and it was ok, this time tho it was one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in.
