Premesso che è un locale che frequento spesso per le ottime e ricercate pizze dalla facile digestione, per gli ottimi antipasti e sfiziosi dessert, questa volta mi ha deluso molto. Dopo aver prenotato telefonicamente mi hanno riservato un tavolo ma lâattesa delle piatanze è stata veramente lunga non solo, le stesse mi sono arrivate stracotte e un pò mal condite, beh è stata veramente una sorpresa. Ho deciso comunque fare questa recensione allo scopo di dare una mossa ai gestori fin troppo bravi e simpatici sperando che sia stata solo una serata no dettata dalla mancanza accidentale a loro dire, di personale sia in cucina ed in sala. Ma a questo punto mi son chiesto, perché hanno accettato comunque la mia prenotazione?...

I've been coming here on and off for nearly twnty years (back when they were on the main streeet as "la taverna" and this place never disappoints. Whether it's one of their magical pizzas or fresh fish or pasta, the place is good home-grown Lazio cooking. Fine food at fine prices.

We ate at La Macina on the recommendation of our B&B. It has a large semi outdoor seating area under a canopy, with space for large groups, families and couples. The tables are well spaced so you don't feel on top of other diners, or affected by smoking.The service was very friendly and English is spoken which was useful for deciphering the different dishes. We ordered starters and primi, but were advised to wait before ordering secondi, which was helpful as the pasta dishes were filling. We particularly enjoyed the plate of mixed antipasti, which came with a variety of items including a delicious dish of beans. The seafood starter was also excellent and nicely presented. We enjoyed all the pasta dishes - spaghetti vongole, seafood ravioli and pappardelle with rabbit and herbs. We ordered two portions of sliced steak with pepper and balsamic vinegar and two portions of cooked chicory between four of us, and still had just enough room for dessert. The meal was accompanied by Seiano Rosso, a bargain at 10 euros a bottle

We visited for a quick lunch, the restaurant has child chairs available, staff were extremely friendly and service was quick. Pizza is only available in the evening but the pasta dishes (freshly made pasta) were filling and good, as were the bruschette and the vegetable contorni. Portions are large, how people manage to have a prime of pasta and then a main course I don't know. Highly recommended if you're in the area and they offer a number of dishes suitable for vegetarians.Thanks for the review, it makes us very pleased that you have been fine. After quite a wee while we went back to Sor Francesco's and I must admit that, rather disappointingly, I found it slightly worse than it used to be. There were only two types of wine by the glass on offer (the wine list is extensive, and weighs half a ton so this lack was distinctive). The fried porcini mushroom I ordered lacked salt and in my book they did not taste like porcinis at all. I chose the fried porcinis from the side dishes menu (8 euros per portion) and clearly specified to the waiter it was the right size for me. On the bill they were priced 12 euros so I am not sure whether I was overcharged or simply given the wrong dish (perhaps a main?). I finished off an average meal with a sweet wine (6 euros) served frozen and hardly drinkable. Certainly it was not to my taste at all. The dining al fresco area is rather casual, and we had a full view of the neighbourhood's balconies with loaded washlines. The cars and motorini were parked very close to the canopy iself, less than a yard from our table, I reckon. I will not haste back, I am afraid.

Celebrated ferragosto with family and friends at l'Accordo. We all opted for the fish menu and had a huge plate of antipasti, which was really amazing. There was a bit of everything: great combos of fish, shellfish, veggies and cheeses. The crepes were a bit too heavy and too many after that, but the main dish was light and fresh, as well as the fruits composition. Amaro much needed.The atmosphere inside was nice and warm. The outside perfect to relax after such a food feast.

We are eating at many wonderful places in Italy during our two-year work stint, but this may be the best of all. And at reasonable prices as well, makes it a worthwhile detour. We learned about it from a local, always a good sign. Its dining room is simple, but the favors that come from the kitchen are astounding. I have eaten mussels in Brittany, New England and elsewhere on the Mediterranean, but nothing like the perfection and sublime flavor of these. We had white wine the family had made themselves, at an unbelievable 7 ⬠a bottle and it was fantastic. Then the meat course, which was also mind-blowing, and a moist chocolate cake concoction that was absolutely the best dessert we've had in this country.Husband greeting and waiting table, wife performing miracles in the kitchen, young sons helping out--this is the kind of old-world food experience most of us dream about but rarely experience in full. If are in the region don't miss it. If you are exploring The area north of Rome, make a special trip.

Just had a lovely lunch here. The manager couldn't have been more friendly and helpful going to great trouble to translate the menu for us. We were offered (and rapidly accepted) on the house some gorgeous goat cheese, bread with olive oil and nuts on and the pork main meal was wonderful. The bottle of wine for 7 euros was great value in our opinion too. On a hot day this was a lovely place to linger. We had a very pleasant lunch in a square just over the road from the main restaurant.The roasted vegetables with different types of mozzarella was more than enough for two people, as a starter. The zucchini, eggplant and red capsicum were grilled to perfection.The array of pizzas was most inviting and the sizes were enormous, so much so that we had to take the uneaten portions away.Total cost including a bottle of water âfrizzanteâ came to â¬33.
