I recommend that place for all people who would like to take a break when going up in that amaizing town. Local meat with local wine, only from that part of Italy. If you would like to practice your italian the owner is very talkative person :)I spent quite nice momentns there.

My husband and I are in Italy on holiday for 7 weeks and are spending our first 2 weeks in Borla (Emilia-Romagna). It is a tiny hamlet surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. The day we arrived was my husband's birthday and the owner of our flat graciously made reservations for us at a local restaurant, Il Giardino di Borla. We strolled down the street for a minute and arrived at our destination. "Il Giardino"â¦the Gardenâ¦is aptly named as the outside terrace has an abundance of flowering plants, herbs, small trees, etc. The husband and wife team created a truly memorable meal for us including a lovely bottle of local wine along with an herbal digestive after the meal. The total meal for 1 appetizer with a variety of meats, 1 pasta, 1 duck confit meal and the drinks was E55â¦..the food was presented beautifully and was full of subtle flavors and Simone spent considerably time with us explaining the different menu items and the local flavors as this is the first time we have visited this part of Italy. It was a perfect birthday celebration.

The name of the place says all. It looks great and you keep your eyes open all the way. Views are really magnificent. But restaurants are not only for watching. The food is local and made in accordance with strictest local standarts! Believe me, I spent some time in the area in efforts to get the best price/quality ratio. I found it - it's Belvedere. If you are in Piacenza or Parma, or it happens that you are visiting Castell'Arquato, get the car and come to here - you will not be disappointed!

This restaurant is amazing. The terrace is a beautiful place to eat and take in wonderful views. The food is superb and the wine list offers a great choice (some are very local). The very-reasonable price top off an outstanding meal. I would recommend to anyone and return if again in the area. Cheers

Locale molto luminoso grazie ad ampie vetrate sulle colline circostanti.Menu fisso da 25⬠che comprende: antipasti misti, una scelta tra tre primi, una scelta tra tre secondi, dolce, caffè, ammazzacaffè, acqua e vino. Came a Wednesday evening. Weâre some of the first guest but the restaurant was soon filled with local people. Had gnocchi and my son and daughter spaghetti and ravioli. The food was fantastic. We continued with their carpaccio (only served in the summer) which was high recommended.

top quality food for an aperitivo, excellent wine selection. The staff is very friendly and you will feel part of the atmosphere immediately. This is a "high-4 stars" close to 5. Prices are very good for the quality.

We stumbled on this venerable restaurant as we headed south towards Rustigazzo on the Sunday of a busy holiday weekend. Lots of cars outside, a warm welcome, the beautiful countryside and the 100 plus year pedigree all contributed to the sense that we had made a good choice.Honest, rustic decor and food, meeting the test of the locals for generations meant we were amply fed at a modest price. We generally prefer more sophisticated fare, but there is nothing wrong in sampling local specialties prepared with local ingredients. It was an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Had previously dined here for Sunday lunch but have now confirmed weekdays are just as good. Torta fritta with local meats was sensational followed by gnochetti with truffles, tortellini with ricotta and spinach and chicche della nonna. Roast veal and potatoes rounded out an impressive meal with local wines. Didn't save enough room for dessert but will be back again soon!
