I planned to be here on a Sunday evening for live music, but the music was canceled due to an impending storm (that never materialized until later that night). Consequently, the place was empty except for another couple. I have to give kudos for the service mainly because the gal was so sweet and because they didn't pressure us to leave. We were so enjoying the conversation and quiet that we didn't realize until later that we were the only ones there and they stayed open for us! We had a couple of snacks, nothing special. But the setting is very special as it overlooks the wonderful lake and is isolated from the rest of the town offering great views of the city. It was a pleasant 10-15 minute or so walk along the busy main road, but a walkway made it safe. I imagine as a music venue, it would be lively and ideal.

Arriving at the entance this place can look a bit outdated, but this restaurant has a huge outdoor piazza in the back. This is where the residents go and there might be queue during dinner hours. We ate here four times during our visit. I really recommend the gulasch (best ever) and the pizzas (cheap n good). My son thought they made the best pizzas he ever tasted. Great take away and service as well. Just go here!

I had read that Lido 84 had achieved a place in the worldâs top 100 restaurants before I booked so expectations were high. The restaurant also has a Michelin star. The service was as good as possible with waiters and commis chefs in abundance, and all passionate as well as speaking excellent English. The owner took a lot of time to explain the menus to us and when each course arrived the individual waiter again took time to explain things. We took the 6 course classical tasting menu at 80 euros. Each course was excellent and not too large. The exception was the sweets which kept appearing and were amazing. This restaurant well deserves its place in the top 100 and really should have at least a 2nd Michelin star. The other bonus is that the price, for what we had, was reasonable, mainly because the wines are fairly priced. We paid a total of 130 euros a head and donât begrudge it at all.

We made a reservation to have a nice Saturday night dinner. We sat outside, which was the first mistake. Extremely loud & smelly traffic. Only one other couple sat outside. Inside is very unattractive. The appetizer of asparagus with poached egg & cheese was good. But our dinners were not good. For fish, the server recommended fish & chips. It was terrible. Some sort of inedible potato chips and a small portion of fish. The steak was ok. There were approximately 20 guests total. The server did not visit the table and did not ask if we needed anything else or if we enjoyed our meal. Many other places to go across the street.So you have come to book in person. You have seen where the restaurant is located and how it is made and you have chosen to dine out. Saturday night we served 36 people who had dinner out of 10. The couple who had dinner near you rebooked for tonight, always out, apparently it is not as bad as she says. Our restaurant is recommended on the Michelin Guide since 2012 so our dishes are certainly not terrible and as we read in all the other reviews our service is highly appreciated for courtesy and professionalism!!

Very very rude staff, refused to speak English or listen. Hard to drive to if youâre not used to the narrow steep roads of Italy. The place looks like youâre going to be part of the menu. We came here because the reviews said that the food was excellent, at a good price and the that lady who runs it makes you feel at home. We glossed over the comments about the service being slow because the food sounded so tasty. I have to say that the reviews were all pretty much spot on. The lady of the house was very friendly, spoke to us in English, and politely went along with us and our appalling Italian. She also speaks German and I think I heard her speak some French to some other groups I think he restaurant. Her food was delicious and she kindly took into account our groups allergy requirements. The choice of wine was fantastic, there are shelves and shelves of bottles to chose from with prices from 20 euros to 200. We didnât mind too much that the service was relaxed and chilled, but if you come here expecting 5* service with an attentive waiter you might be a bit miffed. Donât get me wrong, we didnât starve between courses, but there was plenty of opportunity to enjoy the wine between courses. I would happily go again for some top level Italian food and massive wine glasses!

This fine restaurant is situated away from lake Garda, therefor a bit less crowded. We were with four friends and tried to figure out the menu when this waitress came to our table and started talking Dutch. She speaks four or more languages so this was very helpful. We had a wonderful and good meal, with drinks and desert for less than â¬25,- each. We even got a discount mentioning the hotel we stayed. Do not hesitate to go there, you won't be disappointed.Grazie mille...Dank je wel Hopelijk tot een volgende keer!!

If you want a meal in Gargnano look no further. Whether inside or outside the restaurant has the perfect setting, truly incredible food (the risotto was incredible as was the local white fish as was the tiramisu!!!) and outstanding/friendly service. The food was truly excellent- taste, presentation, slight twist: it had it all. Philip, who runs the place, is passionate about delivering an outstanding experience on every count and he has delivered. Look no further. Aeolus is really good value given how top rate it is. This is a very high and strong recommendation.
