Having passed this restaurant many times, we decided to give it a go and whilst the food was acceptable, it was nothing special and not particularly good value. It was one of those meals that acts as fuel because you need to eat, but overall it could have been so much better. Its difficult to put my finger on exactly what was missing but the place lacked atmosphere and I got the feeling they weren't interested in us at all. Some of the dishes could have been hotter, which is ironic since I believe the name of the restaurant is dialect for 'hot plates'. Letharic service and barely a salutation as we left...

We ate here many times when we were in Pianella over the summer. The locale is beautiful, the staff is extremely attentive and accommodating to our every request, and the pizza was always amazing. I am dreaming of the truffle pizza and can't wait to return to again soon.

I was really happy to find this place for one of our dinners in Abruzzo. All the courses were delicious. To begin our dinner we had usual Italian starters like prosciutto, cheese and bread with olive oil. I loved the pizza fritta! It is basically the pieces of fried pizza pastry. Then for the main course we had pizzas and traditional Abruzzo dish - arrosticini - that are mutton skewers cooked on fire. The restaurant definitely had a high quality meat and arrosticini tasted far better than the ones we had tried before in other places. For the dessert we went for panna cotta. It was freshly made and tasted delicious with that wild berries sauce on it. Highly recommended place for your dinner!

Really delicious meal - seafood antipasti followed by pasta and we shared a main fish dish. A beautiful plate of desserts at the end made it a really huge meal (don't order everything up front there really was a lot!). With lovely service and great wine at a reasonable price we were delighted.They were also very accommodating of our requests for no dairy and no gluten - nothing was a problem for them.

I was in holiday in Italy and I went in the countryside just outside from Pescara. The location is fantastic between green hills there is this tower from the middle ages. Inside the restaurant looks great. Locals and traditionals foods and red wine are excellent. Arrosticini from sheep are super and the montepulciano was nice. The owner and the crew are also very polite and nice!We ll see again!

My niece's wedding was held in this castle where is filled with ancient charm. The building with the multi-levels of rooms , terra-cotta flooring, Rome brick walls, and vault ceiling that creates dynamic ambiance to the wedding. The wedding banquet was decorated with exquisite flower arrangements; the well-presentable table settings for the sit-down dinner; the buffet table for a variety of seafoods,meets,and cheeses,; and the multi-buffet stations for various desserts delicately designed with delicious tastes. Open bar drinks, live music, and DJ along with an excellent service from staff made a completely exclusive wedding that was exceptionally beautiful.Dear Christina, we are glad to know that your experience a our Castle was so good that you decided to write this excellent review. Fantastic pizzeria in the center of a quaint Italian village. The pizzas are fanstatic, and they also serve a potato based dish which is unique for the area. All topped off by genuine German beer! Make reservations if you go on the weekend , it's packed!

Nestled in the lovely historical town of Chieti lies a wonderful park with fountains, playgrounds and plenty of shaded seating. Just by the main fountain is La Casina dei Tigli, a cafè and restaurant with both indoor and al fresco seating. There is an option to eat on site or order take away (perfect for a picnic in the park). We stopped for a family lunch and sat in the main restaurant, we ordered a mix of traditional starters, followed by pasta and pizza for the kids. Service was fast, bringing out the kids' food first which we were pleased about as it gave us time to enjoy the wonderful board of cheeses and hams with a glass of local red wine, all delicious. The selection of pizzas were impressive and in particular the list of Gourmet pizzas was mouth watering (all with Burrata cheese!). Overall, a perfect location for lunch or dinner by the park, wonderful and cordial service combined with excellent food. And with 2 playgrounds to choose from right next door the kids were happy too! Highly recommended.
