Avoid the beach eating places! Both times we ate here it was Sunday and the place is very busy with tables of family groups. We sat outside on the verandah which was quieter, but warm in summer. The raw seafood platter was very fresh and with the fresh bread was a great entree. I had one of the grilled fish offerings which was cooked to perfection the first time but slightly undercooked the second time. Others in the group enjoyed seafood pasta and calamari. The salads consisted of a bowl of lettuce was overpriced, so we avoided it second time. The chips were brilliant. The service was ok given that they were extremely busy, but they did seem to be stretched on our second visit and things weren't quite so good. But definitely worth a try.

It's pretty quiet in Metaponto in mid June and l@oasis seemed to be the only place doing any real business. We ate there twice while staying at the B and B and ate well.Not an enormous choice but what there was was good,especially( of course) the pizza

This eco-friendly restaurant is located in a nice setting and has a relaxed atmosphere. We had the gnocchi with frutti di mare and they were very tasty and fairly priced. You can combine it with an afternoon on the beach, or a visit to the nearby archaeological site.Would definitely return!

Went to lunch to this fairly new restaurant. Great service and excellent seafood. I highly recommend this place! I never tried oysters with Prosecco before - what a great sensation!

Anche se attiguo ad un campeggio, il ristorante Riva dei Greci presenta una cura nella collocazione dei tavoli, pulizia e servizio di tutto rispetto degni di un ristorante di livello. Ambiente cordiale e allegro. Si mangia all'ombra di maestosi alberi che danno ombra e tranquillità . Cenare in questo posto è veramente una goduria. Qualità del cibo molto alta. Cura nella cottura e soprattutto molta varietà di offerta. Ci vado da oltre 25 anni e ci torno ogni estate perché ospite in un villaggio turistico della zona. Negli anni ho potuto constatare un miglioramento notevole sia nella offerta proposta che nella qualità del servizio. Sempre freschissimo il pesce cucinato con fantasia pur nel rispetto della tradizione. Buonissimi gli antipasti e frittura di paranza eccellente. Buonissimi anche i piatti a base di baccalà . Buone anche le pizze, ma da scegliere solo se avete fretta perchéâ¦..con tanti piatti meravigliosi sarebbe davvero un peccato accontentarsi solo di una pizza. Dimenticavo l'ottimo rapporto qualità /prezzo, che va a completare un giudizio entusiastico.

One out of three meals was a disaster. Waited ages for a poorly defrosted small piece of spada on a grill plate with some grilled zucchini slices for 18.00 euro. Could have been so much better. Rest had tasty dishes. Limited selection. Wine by the bottle but not extravagantly expensive. Only place open in this part of the world - just out of season.

Metaponto Lido on a weekday afternoon in May is a fairly abandoned place. Luckily we found this trattoria with its outdoor seating, where the lunch menu was limited but good. They offered a few pizzas, pastas, and fish dishes. We opted for the pastas, way better than expected. I must confess that we got a kick out of watching two local policemen eating at an adjacent table--plenty of cigarettes, wine, and no one was in a hurry! As I said, this is a sleepy area off-season.thanks a lot, i m very glad to you. see you soon as possiible!
