This was a drive out of the way trip for us based on our cleaner in the hotel recommending it. And when we arrived we were like yeah okay then.... but then we got chatting to the lady controlling the take outs and her passion for food was amazing, the pizzas were something special but her advise to try the desert felt like a hard sell it was well worth the arm turning. Take a detour to find this place, you will not be disappointed.Gentilissimo cliente la ringraziamo per la bellissima recensione e per averci dedicato del tempo, ci gratifica ed è di stimolo per continuare a migliorare. Only called in to duck out of the rain and maybe grab a beer on Saturday 6th April.1825hrs and pretty well soaked through myself and partner were looking for a supermarket.(A few hundred metres further on).I had no high hopes other than a beer.Well we were told the Pizza would be 1900hrs,I left my partner whilst legging it to the Grimm supermarket and a further soaking.It was worth the effort,the Pizza (I am a huge critic of Pizza) was one of the best I have ever had.I rarely eat Pizza and even more rarely even consider it outside Sardegna (Not even Napoli do pizza as well as Sardegna).One word of warning,no local or Italian beer to wash it down and .4 beer cost 4 euro.Cost rarely an issue for me but it seemed excessive,not to mention lack of Italian beers?

But also good meat and starters and in house made exquisite desserts.Family owned and ran business; the pizza maker is a guy from Naples and he loves his job and his passion for his job is the main reason why it's possible in this restaurant-pizzeria to enjoy one of the best pizzas of Cagliari and its hinterland. Only problem is the location which is a bit secluded next to the local Town Hall of Quartu S.E. (a small town satellite of the main Sardinian town - Cagliari).The staff almost entirely composed by family members is absolutely kind and professional at the same time.I'll be honest admitting that this is my first "biased" review for the simple reason that Metropizza is my favorite pizza in the whole province of Cagliari and one of the best I've ever had. The name of the restaurant indicates that clients can choose between the traditionally circular shaped pizza or a rectangular shaped pizza whose length is determined metrically.Only thing I can't explain myself yet is how they can make it with such a cheap price when compared to all other pizzerias in Sardinia.But I won't complain for that.

A simple but lovely family run trattoria. Ask the owner "What's good today?" and he'll tell you what to get, and he won't steer you wrong. Not-to-be-missed dishes (quite always available) are: "Razza buddìa" (steamed ray fish with potatoes and bottarga); Trofie (special pasta) with diced fresh tuna sauce, pesto and bottarga; Fried calamari; and, as for desserts: sebadas topped with honey, or ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and topped with a special homemade grapemust sauce. 25 to 30⬠each for a whole menu, from appetizer to dessert, including bottled wine, espresso, grappa, and gratuities. Open for lunch on weekdays and for dinner thu-fri-sat. Better call ahead for reservations especially for dinner: 328-051-0511

Great food, great selection of beer and what an atmosphere. Despite being the only English speakers in the restaurant, we were guided through the beer selection and advised on the food, as the menu was in Italian of course, and all the staff were really helpful. Definitely worth finding this little gem, you may have to book a table in advance as it is so popular.

Small and pleasant restaurant with very good food.Close to our hotel we found this small restaurant wich we visited several times during the week. The service was always nice with a minor language barrier wich never presented any problem. Fish and meat was equaly excelent and the prices reasonable. Worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

But it might appeal to some.Finally coffee (espresso) and liquors.All for â¬30 per personThe price includes all the red wine you want (house wine - drinkable) and water.It doesn't include white wine, but you can order at a cost (we order a bottle that cost â¬12 and it was decent).It opened at 1:30pm.We didn't have a reservation but we got very lucky and the kind lady manages to make some space for us. But I definitely try to reserve it.It only opens on Sundays. I sincerely regiment it.Traditional, plentiful home made food for a very cheap price.

I have been there on a Thursday night and I tasted one of the best meat menu ever. I highly recommend this place. The tartare steak, very simple, is just amazing. And also other dishes, with sauces and grilled. List of wines at the same level.
